i need to replace my old altec lansing 2.1 PC speakers. i see a lot of brands in the market (creative, labtec, JBL, harman kardon, etc), nakakalito. basta relatively priced at yung tipong pwede din para sa ipod, gaming, watching videos/dvds. are there any websites to help me get reviews/rankings of PC speakers?

    thanks!

Creative XFree XE222 - cheap (Php900). Not the greatest, but good nonetheless.

Logitech X220 for stronger bass response. i currently use the Z680, and it is awesome, THX certified pa.

totally agree. it's much more expensive than altec lansing, so if you're on a budget stay with altec. but if you're willing to spend the money to get the best, don't think twice and get the klipsch. it blows everything away, including overpriced bose.

medyo malaki lang yung subwoofer so you have to have some space (wag gawing footrest ha! )

as far as sites to do some research, www.cnet.com is excellent

ahhhh ATP3... down firing mids from the satellites kaya maganda talaga lumalabas na tunog....

I dont like Creative and its subsidiary (forgot the name) kasi notorious sila na madali masira...

I would recommend Altec and of course the surprising Logitech....

For Klipsch, available sa Pinas according to my supplier:

    Promedia Ultra 2.0 - 5,500
    Promedia GMX A.2.1 - 6,750
    iGroove - 10,500

    Logitech z-2300
    Klipsch PM 2.1 THX
    Altec CS21

i personally use Altec 621 (connected to analog 192/24bit of my soundcard) and Logitech z5500 THX to the optical digital.

That would be Cambridge, I think. Until the Klipsch Pro Medias came out, I thought Creative/Cambridge were the best around (for pc speakers). They were kind of expensive, though.

Yeah, im still lusting over Cambridge Gigaworks S750! :D It's the best sounding ever i think. Kinda expensive lang talaga that it would be more practical to setup a basic HT on separates.
