This will be another train ride since this is a street circuit, were overtaking will be few and far between. I hope it won't be as BORING as the European GP in Valencia. Sana gising pa ako to find out who won the race...

This Singapore GP is a shet!! There's no better word for it.

Save for Paula Malai Ali, who was gorgeously hot, these nutcracks at ESPN/StarSports spent an entire 2 hours showing Singapore GP featurettes, then started showing football as soon as Qualifying started! What the hell? I mean, who gives a f u c k about Chelsea????

Then come race day, these Scuderia scarlet dingbats screwed up the pitstop all over again. Why don't they just sign-up Christian Albers? Atleast the guy knows how to carry that fuel hose with poise, all the way to the race circuit. I timed their response, it took them 12 seconds to react and run toward Massa at the end of the pitlane! By that time, Massa wa finished! And as expected, once you start thinking that the Iceman would never make it to the chequered flag .... what do you know, he never made it! I'm sure the unforgiving Tifosi in Italy would skin him alive back in Maranello. I doubt Raikkonen is psyched up to drive his best for a Constructor's Championship goal in Fuji. He's all downhill from this point till Brazil.

Going back to Fernando the original cry-baby, it's amusing he was lambasting his car when it gave up on him during Qualifying. He said, "The race is over! It's finished!". So what did good 'ol Flavio pulled out from his sleeves? He deliberately made Nelson Piquet Jr. crash into the wall to trigger the safety car just as Fernando was nearing the pitlane exit! What a perfect maneuver, eh? After the race, Flavio told the media that the safety car was for Rubens! Haha, nice try Paps!

Poor FM! He would've won the race if not for that "false-greenlight" and the fuel hose getting stucked on his car. He also had some mistake at the grandstand tunnel, where he had a minor crash onto the barrier. As for Kimi, why??? There was only 4 laps left. tsk tsk Anyway Congratulations to Alonso, Rosberg and Hamilton.

Actually... I really believe it was an accident... it's a very hard thing for a racecar driver to actively want to lose a race...

Michael Schumacher could have done it... once he loses the car, he can calmly think: "hmmm... might as well hold everyone else up, too..." (see Monaco Qualifying... ).

There weren't that many accidents, but they were all big ones... Nelson... Sutil... Kimi... very tight on the run-offs.

An excellent race for Alonso, whatever conspiracy theories might arise (we were joking about it on another site.... but I seriously doubt it was intentional... besides, if Nelson hadn't done it, Ruben's retirement would have...)... it's Rubens who kept the safety car out for another few laps after Nelson's car was brought in, sending more front-runners to the back of the queue. The only guys that Nelson's accident directly hurt were Kubica and Rosberg. And Alonso's pace all night was fantastic... getting a fastest lap just a few tenths off of Kimi's blistering pace... quite a feat with a categorically slower car.

Great race for Nico Rosberg... intelligent driving and good pitwork (despite the stop-go penalty) got him up to second place... he really outdid himself in this race.

Good race for Lewis. He's the front-runner who suffered the least from the yellow-flag pitstop fiasco... and the one championship contender who made the most of the evening. Only one overtake, compared to Kimi's half-dozen or so... but it was a difficult one, on David Coulthard, no less, one of the most dangerous guys on track to pass (going by recent race incidents and retirements... )... good driving by both guys... but DC felt the pressure, tried to guard the inside... hesitated... moved right just enough to give Lewis an opening to throw his McLaren into... a nice overtake, and certainly a much cleaner one than most of Lewis's driving last race... and Lewis was visibly calmer this race, letting off on Nico Rosberg to preserve his third place in the final laps. I hope he continues on this path and we see no more of the ugliness of Lewis "Ayrton-the-bully-Senna" Hamilton.

Great finish for Glock. Good race. Terrific finish for Vettel in 5th... though he inherited the place more than took it.

Terrible luck for Kimi. He was doing terrific in the middle of the race... just seemed to lose concentration and slipped up... big time... what the hell? Fastest laps are nice, but you don't score points for that... agggggh!!! Give me back my "Iceman!"

Worse luck for Massa. Ferrari must be kicking themselves in the nuts for that incident.

Not for Nelsinho. His race seat for next season is on the line. Flavio's last radio message to him in Singapore was: "Lose the race, or lose the seat!" Seconds after that, the crowd heard a crash of metal near the grandstand.

According to the Star Sports field reporter, the Renault team was pouring champagne over Nelson Piquet at the garage, as if he won the race.

It's not who Nelson had hurt the most, but who had benefitted the most. Alonso went smack right into the safety car's tail pipe. Ross Brawn is the only other person who can plot a slingshot manuever like that.
