170-Popular
The Ultimate SUV
(Seriously Useful Vehicle)
Roadtrek’s most compelling alternative to SUVs and conversion vans is here! The 170-Popular on the Chevrolet Express 2500 regular van is the easiest of all Roadtreks to maneuver through traffic and fit into those car sized parking spots. The 170 has many features you take for granted in a car, like better fuel economy than most camper vans (never mind larger motorhomes), along with the full-size motorhome features you would expect from any Roadtrek.
The 170-Popular seats 5 and sleeps 3 with ease (optional folding mattress required at front). The rear L-shaped lounge converts easily to a 6'2" double bed that is both spacious and comfortable. With “across the rear” storage below the bed, you have all kinds of room for the things you want to bring along. The front cloverleaf dining table stores neatly out of the way, creating even more room to stretch out and relax.
Add an optional flat screen TV, DVD player or VCR and you have an entertainment system that takes up very little room while providing you with something to do on a rainy day. The TV rotates into the aisle so you can watch it from the front captain’s seats - the most comfortable seats in the house.
Whether you’re on your way to the soccer game with the kids and need a change room, or heading out of town for a weekend getaway, you will appreciate the driveability, parking ease and efficiency of the 170. It’s the perfect second vehicle that combines convenience, comfort and value all in one affordable package.

Our rear L-shaped lounge provides a comfortable place to eat, watch TV, play games, or just relax with a good book. And it converts to a 6'2" double bed.

not really since a brang new ford van cost nealry 2M. So a roadtrek equipped one including taxes could set you back cost to 5m or even 6m this is just a guess. It will be very comfy definitely but will you be safe ? If you stay far out north or south you have to be careful with the NPA's There are really no rv sites here. Its still better to just bring a tent or stay in a hotel for accomodations. Your main issues would be who is qualified to do the maintenance on the roadtrek? The van would be an issue since chevrolet has a dealer here but parts takes time to arrive and very expensive. With gas don't expect more than 5km / liter in the city. Take note it has a 6.0 engine a real gas guzzler.
