Masyado kasi over sensationalized ang Hi-Peak. Sa article nga ng C! kesyo kinailangan pa daw iwan yung Dodge Dakota halfway at yung mga Land Rover Club lang ang nakaakyat. Na-feature din sa 4x4MAG ang Hi-Peak. This time mga tiga-MORI naman in their heavily modified rigs. So parang sobrang hirap diba?

But I climbed it in my box-stock (and asthmatic) Pajero. The stock Jimny (on small Dueler H/T's) made it up too kahit novice ang driver and fully loaded ang vehicle. Even the stock Vitara did not have such a hard time taking Hi Peak although it did manage to get a dent on its fuel tank.

Kimpoy did it in 2WD! With a little help from BEAST.

Traction lang ang kalaban sa Hi Peak dahil sa loose surfaces. I really think the cute utes can do it although a tow or two in some sections might be needed and some extra careful spotting (and rock adjustments) to avoid hitting the underside.

    boybi,

Wanna make history? hehehe. Si kimpoy inakyat na iyan in 4x2 mode (nasira front hubs, eh).

Admittedly mas magiging mahirap ang journey in a cute ute. Pero wala namang iwanan sa off-roading. Either we all get to the top or we don't.

OO nga in any and every case its usually driver skill that counts. in one trip I had, pre-dc.org, only one vehicle did not get stuck. A stock samurai. stock hanggang gulong. samantalang yung mga big tired hardcore rigs nabalaho.

    agree ako dyan sir Kimps!!!

    para dun sa nagpost..
    punta sya sa NLEX..
    (hindi dun sa construction site..
    sa mismong daan..
    ang panget kasi eh..)
dun nya gawin yung 'offroad' nya..
    baka mas ma-challenge pa sya.

offroading - off the road, classified running on dirt, sand, rocks anything other than pavement or paved roads.

so it qualifies them under offroading (dirt road) yun nga lang hindi extreme conditions.

    just my two centavos. peace!

But now it raises the question as to what a road is...

In some parts of the country, any artificially flattened terrain meant for transport is called a road. Be it dirt or concrete.

    Naks, philospical tayo! hehehe

Yes but for some people a road is paved. Thats why theres off road and extreme off road. This concept of off road is very misleading and confusing. Dapat gawing dalawa. Off pavement (term actually exists) and off road.

Off-pavement is the more polically correct term used sa States.

Kasi the term 'off-road' does not sound well in the ears of the Sierra Club and other 'tree-hugger' groups.
