When you acquired your 4X4's? Was taking it off-road one of your initial intentions?

una talaga i need a pickup to haul, load and deliver things
type ko yung 1995 na isuzu LS yung pre fuego
laging bumabaha dito so might as well get a 4x4
hilux naman ang gusto ko na 4x4, kaso nakita ng dad ko itang strada sariwa 8 months used with a 2 year depreciation price, kinuha ko na!

I was planning to take it mild offroading but not this serious that we encounter.

Just like kimpOy, we bought it for flood and traffic reasons. Then I found this group that were also hooked on offroading like me. I have never dreamed of a full-sized SUV in my life. Kahit maliit lang ok na sana nun, kaso nakita namin ito mas malaki mas maganda ang features and can almost handle any given task. Now this offroading epidemic has been in my system and I haven't found any cure for it. :mrgreen:

I was choosing between a used Pajero and a used low end german sedan. Wala lang, i just wanted a new driving experience since all cars feel alike........... im sure you guys know what i mean.

Ever since grade school addict nako sa mga monster trucks, then pagdating high school my interest veered towards these street legal 4x4 trucks (reality bit me na hindi pwedeng pang-everday driving ang monster trucks... sayang) then when I was looking for my 4x4 that's when I started to really learn about offroading and natutunan ko nga na kahit ang mga maliliit na 4x4s (mga suzukis) ok din pala.

some of you know hanap ko talaga was a hilux (like boss kimps, I needed a pickup for the cargo bed) pero because of budgetary constraints, "economic reasons" nga daw sabi ni otep (chaka sa tagal kong naghahanap - naputol ang budget! grrr!) I settled for a Vitara pero sabi naman ng experts na kilala ko ok din naman daw ang Vitara for offroad use (IFS lang nga) and I've seen 2 Vitaras from ai.ORG in action...

my dad luvs pajeros n 4x4s but dahil mataas at pwede sa baha, when my pajero was passed on to me, puro paporma lang gawa ko sa kanya, the stickers, the fpg lights, the sounds, then otep invited me sa urban offroading, dun umiba ang tingin ko sa pajero ko and wanted to test it to the limit in terms of stock offroading capabilities. so far i'm impressed......
