with JPM leaving for mclaren and ralf's contract ending this year, williams is left with a possible 2 seats available for grabs.

who do you think will be the replacement/s?

if you were frank williams, who would you choose?

    here are the rumored candidates:
    A List:
    1. Mark Webber - current Jaguar driver (but Renault-contracted under Flavio)
    2. David Coulthard - current Mclaren driver (no renewal of contract next year)
    3. Giancarlo Fisichella - current Sauber driver
    4. Jacques Villeneuve - 1997 WDC, former Williams and BAR star
    5. (optional) Jenson Button - current BAR driver (under a water-tight contract)

    B List:
    1. Marc Gene - current Williams test driver
    2. Antonio Pizzonia - current Williams test driver
    3. Scott Dixon - IRL champ (? not sure)
    4. Nick Heidfeld - current Jordan driver

I will go for Mark Webber and Jacques Villeneuve. Both are two talented drivers but Villenuve has the experience and is not interested for a big contract. The downside of this is they may have two clashing drivers again.

yep, alonso is one heck of a driver. pero malamang flavio won't be releasing him from renault anytime soon.....without serious cash inflow i guess :P

fyi, flavio is not just the renault boss but alonso's manager. i surmise he wants alonso to win the driver's c'ship for renault first...

With BAR streaking this season, don't expect Button to be leaving the team anytime soon.

I'm pretty sure BMW will want a German driver. Ralf is said to have done a deal with Toyota already, so I guess Heidfeld can be a possible candidate for one seat. Even Jordan will help him get the slot.

Speculations suggest that the other driver will be Webber, and I hope so too. I don't want Villeneuve since he's such an *$$. One rude, dislikeable driver he is.

probably jacques villenueve and mark webber... the williams team has always wanted drivers who are competitive with one another... so, clashing drivers should not be a problem for them unless they clash on the race track...

ralf is going to toyota and david coultard will probably end up at jaguar...

the news is they have their eyes on Coulthard and they're showing a lot of interest on Kiwi driver Scott Dixon, they're communicating with SD once a week and he is scheduled for another test drive in a few weeks time.

i am starting to believe that JPM might be one of the most overrated drivers in F1. he is exciting to watch but takes too many foolish risks and has a tendency to break his car. good riddance and good luck at McLaren where their car troubles are well known.

Ralf sucks too, and the season is pretty much lost after a 2003 season where the team seemed to take a huge step forward, only to lose it all after 6 races in 2004.

i guess a clean start next year would probably be the best thing...

galing na c villanueve sa williams eh... and parang frank williams and villanueve had a bitter separation ata hehe... fisichella is a good driver given a fast and reliable car. Tapos si fernando alonso! magaling din yun.

i agree wid m54, imo lang nman, jpm is a hype lang kse eh. He is aggressive yet pushes his car to breaking, wala pang finesse ang handling nya. One time he even wanted to setup his car to have a little bit of oversteer but he can't even control his car, he often spins-out or blows his engine. i guess indy car talaga ang race nya

    imo lang po.

    OT:
I happen to notice Williams cars are sporting a different cone design, seems like a retro look from 70's era.

i think montoya is one of the most exciting drivers in f1 today. he's exciting to watch especially his overtaking maneuvers. and his presscon antics are getting 'exciting' too. love him or hate him. f1 needs a character like him.

the f1 silly season is really starting early this yr...Mark webber should be in for a drive in a williams car. Anthony Davidson has been brilliant at friday testing with bar honda i think frank williams should consider him as one of his prospects. I doubt that renault would be changing their driver line up for next yr. Nico Rosberg...maybe?!

    kimi and jpm.
    oil and water.

problem lang kay montoya is he's not consistent. tignan mo na lang si trulli, laging nasa top 10 yan or top5

why? because montoya pushes the car to its limits, minsan nga palpak.

just like phil michelson sa golf, laging 2nd or 3rd kay tiger kasi he always gamble sa mga shots niya, if he will not gamble lagi na lang sila sa likod ni tiger.
