now that they have ralf & trulli as drivers, are we gonna see an improvement at toyota next season? mike gascoyne their chassis technical director stated that if they did not improve next season he will consider it his failure. nice going...

well if you ask me, with ralf as their lead driver, toyota will be atthe same spot as this season or worst.

ralf, imho is a weak driver, those wins are williams are just because of the sheer power of the BMW engine and ofcourse the suited racetrack for it.

trulli on the other hand is consistent on being inconsistent, briatore was hoping trulli to come out of his coccoon but after the race we trulli caught napping, briatore showed him the broom.

as for mike gascoyne, he's just saying those words to pump up the team, malay mo, may milagro.

Siguro mga 2-3 years pa ... Look at BAR and see how much they improved after a few years.. next year they might score their first win. Toyota naman will get the F1 title when they replace Ralf and Trulli.. there is however a small chance that a toyota will be on pole in at least one race next year (fearless forecast) :-)

well... what they are aiming for an improvement, not to outright topple ferrari's hold on F1.

though with the new drivers, they will definitely show some improvement. a podium finish is very achievable IMO. though they (and the other teams) are still years away from achieving the reliability of the ferrari vehicles.

They should get a extremely good team principal/manager. Look how good BAR came out when they gave Dave Richards a free hand on dealing with problems like Villenueve. Also Ferrari with Jean Todt, and Renault with Briatore.

Why not talk to Eddie Jordan in collaborating with them? They supply engines to Jordan anyway, so why not ask for experiential thoughts in return? Jordan has his share of F1 wins; it's only that his team are on a tight budget.

when will toyota be considered an F1 title contender?
