Looks like Button is leaving the Brackley squad to go back to the team that introduced him to F1. It has been confirmed that Williams has taken Button up for 2005 to partner Webber in their bid for the championship.
However, in a related report, BAR is trying to hold on to Button by stating that they have taken up Button for another year. The silly is season is really under way!

BAR has issued an ultimatum to Jenson Button's management company, ‘Essentially Sport’, requiring them to arrange a face to face meeting between Button and BAR executives by close of business on Monday or face immediate action to enforce BAR's contract with Button.
"We have been trying to talk to Jenson for days," said David Richards, BAR Team Principal. "He has a clear duty to all of those who've worked with him for the last two years to explain to them what is going on."
"We have complete confidence in the strength of our contractual rights," said Richards "and in the option that we have exercised for 2005."
The option was approved at a board meeting of BAR on 20th July. Jenson and his management team were informed of this in writing well before the end of the option period on 31st July, a fact acknowledged by Essentially Sport. Notice of exercise of the option had also been lodged with F1's Contract Recognition Board in Switzerland.
"If people make commitments they should keep them - and I will use every means available to me to make sure that all the requirements of our contract are met," said Richards.
"If we do not have a meeting with Jenson by Monday night to sort this out, the processes to enforce our rights under the contract will commence without further notice."
At ang bagong twist diyan ay Hakiiinen babalik sa F1 via BAR.
Button may not race for the rest of the season anymore for BAR. Anthony Davidson, current test driver, may replace him. Also if the F1 Contract Board finds Button's Management at fault, his super license may be revoked and he may not race anywhere next year.
BAR had taken up their option on Button's services for 2005, but the driver's management team have used as an excuse to exercise their wish to move to Williams the claim that the contract is not valid because of a technicality.
That technicality is believed to be based on the small print of BAR's recently-extended contract with engine supplier Honda.
The contract is understood to reflect Honda's concerns about BAR's future with the possibility of a global ban on tobacco advertising being brought in over the next few years - the team are owned, and almost entirely funded by, tobacco giant BAT, which has been looking for buyers.
Button's contract contains a clause that allows him to leave the team if BAR risk losing their Honda engines
Probably - if Button wants to move to Williams, ultimately there is little BAR can do to stop him. Under European legislation that would be counted as a restraint of trade.
However, BAR boss David Richards says the team will contest the move, and the row is likely to go before F1's contracts recognition board.
If this rules in BAR's favour, then Williams will have to pay their rivals compensation for taking Button away.
Tingin ko in 2005 season it will be another ferrari domination. The only reason why the 2003 season was competitive is because ferrari made a mistake in their cars.
They made the wheelbase longer making it difficult for both drivers to drive. MS even said the 2003GA is quick but its twitchy.
IF your going to take a look at the 2004 spec car. Halos wala naman pinagkaiba sa 2003GA. Plus, WIlliams made a risk by using an unconventional approach and mclaren sobrang palpak ang mp4-19.
But the biggest leap frog we have all seen is BAR. 2nd in constructors championship. Galing:D
