Maybe Todt is afraid that if Minardi gets their engine from last year's, Minardi would get real competitive. Then again, even if Minardi has the engine but does not have he talents of, say, Schumi, Barich or Alonso, they still would have their work cut out for them.

^ agree. the rules are the rules. i don't like ferrari f1 much (love their road cars though) but they have a point. if minardi can't afford to be in the game then they should find a sponsor or get out.

are the atlanta hawks asking the nba to let them play 6 men on the court because their starting 5 suck?

would vijay singh consent to giving his opponents a 1-stroke bonus just because he's better than all of them?

if minardi doesn't race because of ferrari, F1 will have another problem: it is required that 20 cars race. If minardi doesn't, they will be short 2 cars.
