They are one and the same. Lucifer, the bearer of light, was 1 of the 4 archangels. He became known as Satan after his fall.

I think this is what made us special and different from God's other creations. Versus animals, He gave us the freedom of will and versus Angels, He gave us the opportunity to repent and be forgiven.
