    From The Sun

A BRITISH woman aid worker was shot dead by a Taliban hit squad yesterday — because she was a Christian.

Gayle Williams, 34 — who helped disabled kids in Afghanistan — was executed by two Muslim fanatics on a motorbike as she walked to work.

She was hit several times in the leg and body and died almost instantly.

A colleague from the charity SERVE Afghanistan found her at 8am near their office in western Kabul.

Close pal Mike Lyth — the charity’s chairman — told how Gayle, of South West London, spent 2˝ years dedicating herself to the war-ravaged country’s poor and handicapped.

He said: “Gayle was a lovely person — an amazing girl, the life and soul of the party.

“She gave herself for those who were disadvantaged, that was her passion.

“It was people who were marginalised, and helping them to get on track, which drove her on.”

Twisted Taliban leaders admitted ordering the murder.

Spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said: “This woman came to teach Christianity to the people of Afghanistan. Our leaders issued a decree to kill this woman.”

Pal Mike insisted Gayle did NOT try to spread her faith.

He explained: “We are Christians, that’s what gives us motivation to go into a dangerous country to try to help.”

Sporty Gayle grew up in South Africa, where her sister lives, but also had a British passport. Their London-based mum was said to be “devastated”.

In August, a British-Canadian woman and two others from the charity International Rescue Committee were gunned down.

Charity boss Mike said: “The risks are great and increasing. Yet you have the cry of many, many of the Afghans saying, ‘Please help us.’ ”

International Development Secretary Douglas Alexander branded it “despicable and absurd” to suggest Gayle’s killing could be a religious act.

He said: “It was cold-blooded murder.”

Ang problema sa Islam walang authority or even group to direct the behaviour/beliefs of the followers. Parang mostly local lang ang authority. Ang resulta, ang daming "cult" na kanya kanyang interpretasyon pero masasabi mo pa ding islamic.

It was plain murder ... religion was just a lame excuse.

If you kill volunteers helping to rebuild the country, there's a chance that volunteers will stop coming and the rebuilding will halt.

Take away progress and all the Afghans will see is war.

When all they see is war, the people will get tired of it and will ultimately want all foreigners out of the country for the fighting to stop.

That's exactly what the Taliban wants to get back in power.
