I'm in. And I'm in to win.

Today I am announcing that I will form an exploratory committee to run for president.

And I want you to join me not just for the campaign but for a conversation about the future of our country -- about the bold but practical changes we need to overcome six years of Bush administration failures.

I am going to take this conversation directly to the people of America, and I'm starting by inviting all of you to join me in a series of web chats over the next few days.

The stakes will be high when America chooses a new president in 2008.

As a senator, I will spend two years doing everything in my power to limit the damage George W. Bush can do. But only a new president will be able to undo Bush's mistakes and restore our hope and optimism.

Only a new president can renew the promise of America -- the idea that if you work hard you can count on the health care, education, and retirement security that you need to raise your family. These are the basic values of America that are under attack from this administration every day.

And only a new president can regain America's position as a respected leader in the world.

I believe that change is coming November 4, 2008. And I am forming my exploratory committee because I believe that together we can bring the leadership that this country needs. I'm going to start this campaign with a national conversation about how we can work to get our country back on track.

    Why not?

Hillary is not a kiss a$$ like GMA. She's gonna be a real pain in the a$$ for the GOP.

The Iraq issue is real mess.

i neither like nor trust her. i hope there are better alternatives.

barack obama is charismatic, but i don't think many people know too much about him. kung manalo siya it will be kind of like a showbiz effect.

why won't John McCain run?? :cry2:

di na po pwedeng tumakbo si Dubya.

if the GOP has to field in somebody against Hillary, I think Condi can do the job.

Too moderate for the GOP, too hardline for the Dems. He'd be my first choice and not just because I'm in AZ. He's had a long experience running AZ and AZ is still doing good up to now. I have a soft spot for Vietnam vets and especially ex-POW's.

Colin Powell would be my 2nd choice, on his own or as a running mate for Mccain. He's had a long experience managing the different branches of the Armed Forces as CoS which is really a cross-section of American society.

I'm not sure if I'll vote for Obama or Hillary Clinton. I'm not sure how experienced they are in running anything.

If Juliani runs, I might consider him too. He had run NYC for so long, and certainly his composure during 9-11 counts a lot.

Add: As for Arnie the Terminator, I have no doubts he'll try to run for president someday if the rules are changed. He's certainly getting the training being governor of CA.

We like to have a little humor with his heavy Austrian accent. But that's because we like him.....

    GIT DAOWN! He He.

Arnie... hehe... they might actually change the rules just for him.

Hilary is just too nakedly ambitious to trust. Besides, Dubya bashing is just getting old. Instead of putting people behind you , you're putting people more firmly against you.

The last election has shown that Bush bashing only more firmly pushes those tending towards voting Republican to voting Republican. It's better if they discuss more concrete matters.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
