as things stand now, there is no better alternative in 2016 than her
assuming she wins, a small debacle in her Presidency and everybody's up in arms and will ask for her resignation... paulit-ulit na lang... sana nga si Binay ang manalo para matapos kalokohan ng mga tanga at bobong voters...

Problem is her alignment with the wrong crowd before. Will she have enough guts to go against Binay, Estrada and et al...?
But with the Philippine democracy now just a popularity contest... And only choice left is "the lesser evil" rather than the better leader.
LP's Erice: VP Binay, Grace Poe tie in commissioned presidential poll
March 20, 2015 10:12pm
Vice President Jejomar Binay and Senator Grace Poe were tied in a commissioned survey conducted earlier this month, with a Liberal Party official pointing out that Binay's ratings have been dropping.
In a report on GMA News' "24 Oras" aired Friday evening, Caloocan Rep. Edgar Erice, Liberal Party chairman for political affairs, said both Poe and Binay got ratings of 22 percent on the survey commissioned by the administration and conducted in the first week of March.
He said the public may have been impressed by how Poe presided over Senate hearings into the Jan. 25 Mamasapano clash.
Erice also said Vice President Binay, who has been implicated in alleged corruption in Makati City while he was mayor, has been losing ground in surveys.
"Consistently, bumababa yung survey ni VP Binay from a high of almost 50 to now na twenties na lang... So more than 50 percent yung ibinaba yung kanyang survey, so hanggang sa nakikilala siya ng mamamayang Pilipino, palagay ko ay bababa pa yan," Erice said.
Interior Secretary Mar Roxas' rating neither rose nor fell, Erice said, but didn't elaborate. Neither did he explain how the survey was conducted.
In any case, the Liberal Party official said, campaign season has yet to begin and Roxas, who is the party's probable presidential candidate, is focused on running the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco, UNA interim president, did not react to the results of the administration's survey, but said Binay is focused on his duties as vice president.
According to a Pulse Asia survey released this week, 29 percent of respondents favored Binay while 14 percent said they would likely vote for Poe.
Roxas trailed behind with 4 percent of respondents saying they would vote for him.
The Liberal Party might announce its official standard bearer for the 2016 elections by the second quarter of this year, the report said. The administration party added it will pick its candidate based on integrity and ability and not survey numbers. — JDS, GMA News

whoever said, "You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time,” he is right. that's why I like the parliamentary system-- the moment members of parliament (or the people they represent) lose their confidence to their prime minister, they can easily replace him. but, there's the rub, we need to overhaul our constitution and it's already too late in the day...
to be honest, I'm all right with just having a federal like system with less centralized government and provinces have more autonomy on their own laws.
the only conceivable way to have a less corrupt government is to minimize its power. there's too much regulation and bureaucracy everywhere!

Damn, son! Where'd you find this?
Pag nanalo si Binay, dadami lalo ang investment condo units nya... ?
Hindi na.
Kasi magiging Binay Land (formerly Ayala Land and Rockwell Land) ang "investments" niya.
BTT: Natauhan na ba si Poe dyan sa pinipilit niyang pasukan? When i read commentary sections on the news sites, grabe rin yung mga paid hacks niya kung mag post at mag bash sa ibang kandidato. Halatang mga "cut and paste" brigade.
Those are not Poe's paid hacks, everything is paid and controlled by Chiz - yes, including Grace Poe. Chiz is the most dangerous politician here whatever the results, unless Mar Roxas wins.
Choosing the lesser evil imho; would we be ready for anyone else to be president?
One one hand, we've elected a former college dropout-turned-actor-turned-politician-turned-convict-turned-mayor in the past; on the other, we've elected an economist who is the scion of a former president known for being clean, now under hospital arrest for a myriad of charges. Another "son of EDSA Revolution" is also falling short of his campaign promises. It didn't work out well for us in any of those cases.

hmm kaya ang talagang kailangan ng bayan ay isang leader na may kamay na bakal...![]()
Art. VII, Section 2, Constitution:
No person may be elected President unless he is a natural-born citizen of the Philippines, a registered voter, able to read and write, at least forty years of age on the day of the election, and a resident of the Philippines for at least ten years immediately preceding such election.
she is 47 y.o. born in Iloilo City on September 3, 1968. went to UP taking up development studies, transferred to Boston College where she graduated political science. Former chairperson of the mtrcb. Now, a senator. maybe she is ready. definitely, she is competent. with great probability, incorruptible. she's soft spoken, not bad looking, and, most probably, she is not wont to make impetuous judgment.
If the list only consists of
Binay
Roxas
Poe
I'll be rooting for Poe!

she's got the credentials alright. i wonder how adept she is when it comes to political horsetrading.
btw, dual citizen ba dati si poe? i seem to remember reading something about her citizenship during her electoral senate campaign a few years back
at 10 years na ba nakatira dito si poe pag dating ng 2016? matagal-tagal din kasi nanirahan sa tate 'to di ba?Art. VII, Section 2, Constitution:
