Do you go to a specific church for blessing?

Or do you just go to any church nearby?

My most recent car purchase I went all the way to Manaoag because it's good luck daw to have the car blessed there. I learned about that here in Tsikot

My first car in college was blessed in Antipolo (Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage)

But most of my friends and colleagues also drove to Manaoag for their car blessing...

first 2 sa local church. then 3rd car onwards sa manaoag, way back when it was not yet that popular. may quarterly mass din naman kasi kami dun. we've been going there regularly for over 12 years already.

Blessed sa nearby parish church. Took me several attempts in different nearby churches because the priest always seemed to be in a hurry to leave after the mass. Parang ayaw magpa-bless ng kotse.

Once we did get it blessed, nag-watermark naman yung isang malaking patak ng holy water sa hood. Watermark is still there far as I can tell.

Sa Manaoag ... ano kaya nahalo sa holy water nila?

Watermarks sa loob ng car, windshield, dash ... parang namumuti ... madali naman matanggal.

napansin ko din yan, and more so last year. maybe because of over drawing of well water.

ot. mababa na ang water table sa pangasinan. they had to drill a new deep well at my grandparents house and it took an additional 3 pipes (20×3=60 feet) before they found good water. dati 40 feet lang ngayon 100 feet na. but, whenever there is a heavy downpour it floods. no capacity to absorb yet drying up.

ot2. unang punta ko sa manaoag i was in college, early 80's. walang katao-tao and i remember it was even a sunday. church grounds also not like it is today, parang bukid lang. we had to get water from the well ourselves. ngayon for sale na in small bottles

i'm thinking about selling manaoag holy water through lazada. just "bless" your own car

don't worry i'll distill it to prevent watermarks

this "blessing" thing is still so pervasive in pinoy culture. buti nalang wala na masyadong exorcism and witchhunts

just proves PH is morally and intellectually backwards. wag kayo magalit. most people in civilized countries don't do this anymore
