mas ok siguro if you bring your friend to a pastor, who could talk about the word of God through whats written in the bible, start with the basic, dont overdo it baka lalo madismaya friend mo if you push to hard, being an athiest is a choice, however the word of God and only Him will save us to perish in hell, if your friend wont believe by these words then tell him to reflect and ask the inner him where he will be after he dies, and during some of the most challenging times, who helped him get through all those, if he still dont want to believe in God then offer to tell him that there would be nothing wrong in understanding a little a bout Him before judging your existance assuming your friend is considerable understanding and would be willing to comprehend anything even he is a firm believer that there is no God, a virtuos light would be cast upon him by God to let him realize the difference on believing and not=)

this is what i am also thinking. mas maganda mag convince mga christian pastors eh.

actually, i have friends who are priests, but no one can really change the way i see Christian teachings when i am talking with them. nakikipag-debate pa nga ako eh.
but when i talked to a pastor-officemate, medyo my view changed.

but of course, depende pa rin yan sa pastor na kausap mo, or depende pa din yan sa priest na kausap mo. i personally, know a pastor who is severely critical to the catholic faith, na minsan eh, nakaka turn-off na.

my suggestion, break it to him gently... hwag biglain...

    Hi Allen,

If you're friend is really an atheist and is not doing any evil things in your eyes, why bother to make him believe what doesnt exist? Di ba mas importante yung gumagawa ng mga kabutihan kesa maniwala sa mga hindi tutuo tapos puro kawalanghiyaan? Most atheists if they are truly one, are secular humanists...so dont worry over him, he will not pose any danger to you or any other people around him. his best interest is for the good of the human beings.

If you are truly a friend you'll accept him for what he stands and set aside beliefs. true friendship knows no boundaries...naks!

I am an atheist and a true one if i may say so. My purpose is plain and simple...raise a family and do good to fellow human beings. I don't need any beliefs to do this.

Dont worry too much about us or anyone of us going to hell or heaven. It's not true. It doesn't exist. It only exist in our minds. Imaginary. Heaven and hell is found here on earth...nowhere else. It is us who create these things to make it real. Our lives can be heavenly or hellish. It's up to us. It's futile to hope beyond death for there's nothing after that. Let's live our lives here on earth to the fullest without disregard for others and that's it.

open-minded naman yata yong friend nya and willing makipag-usap, hindi nya pinipilit. marami yata syang katanungan(which looks like alam mo na ang sagot), then after nung session with the priest ay atheist pa rin choice nya, e di mas okay for her at na-validate choice nya ng paniniwala.

tanong lang sir, nakakausap na rin po ba kayo ng priests or pastors, curious lang ako saan nyo nalaman yong "doesn't exist" or "mga hindi tutuo".

OT na ito and don't really want to start a debate....hindi pa ba enough evidence ang kagandahan ng mundo that a supreme being created it and not from anywhere else

the world is beautiful probably from where you stand. you should consider other people who view the world not as beautiful as you see it.

    maraming klase ang atheista..

..merun hindi naniniwala dahil sa tragic incident in their life that they stopped believing.
..merun ding hindi lang na exposed to the belief on the existence of God.
..merun namang mga very logical thinkers na dahil mas naexexplain ng science ang kapaligiran ay they went to the conclussion on "non-existence of a supreme being"

at marami pang ibang dahilan...unless ma-classify mo yung friend mo, not all religious people or know something/s on the existence of God will fit to be talking to your friend.

    Good luck anyway.

um she falls into the "hindi lang na expose to the belief on the existence of God" type coz she is from China. Though 10+ years na din sya nandito sa Pinas, ang nakamulatan niyang mundo is walang God. so i think may chance.. but as iv mentioned earlier, i only want to help answer her questions through a priest.. whether she decides to continue being an atheist is her choice na..

Ah, so galing pala siyang China. No surprise there after all, considering the Communist government's suppression of religion (atrocities committed against members of the Falun Gong sect come to mind). Tsaka considering din kung anong pinaggagagawa ng gobyerno nila dun, mahihirapan nga silang maniwala na may Diyos pa.

yes exactly. that's why i'm trying to help her realize that God does exist. and mismo siya lagi nagbbring up ng topic bout religion that's why i think interested din talaga siya. though it's unrealistic to expect her to believe right away. this maybe is the first step towards that. little by little ko dadaanin.. kukunin sa tiyaga hehe

if she's the one who brings up the topic... then that's a good indication.

I'll pray for your success in that. God speed.
