Nene: Civil disobedience to force out GMA

Opposition leader Senator Aquilino Pimentel Jr. on Saturday said civil disobedience could spell President Arroyo’s downfall.

Pimentel said during the weekly Kapihan sa Sulo new forum that ousting the President by way of civil disobedience is not a far-fetched idea since pro- and anti-Arroyo forces are now clashing at a physical level in daily rallies.

The senator said the public can resort to non-payment of taxes and work stoppage in protest against President Arroyo’s policies.

Pimentel said that Friday's rallies in Manila and Quezon City made it clear that the public is "already tired and dissatisfied" with the way the government is being run.

He also cited that demonstrations in Visayas and Mindanao are gradually increasing.

"If civil disobedience takes place, the President will be forced to step down," said Pimentel. Dennis Gasgonia

He he.

Suggesting to people not to pay taxes is inciting to sedition.

Nene-Civil disobedience to force out GMA? Pagkatapos i-force-out, what then? They had their chance to make life better for the Filipinos under several administrations, ano may nangyari ba? My Guy Magsaysay, where are you when we need you? Wala na ba talagang katulad mo?

It wouldn't work. It's better for them to wait for the next opportunity in - the next election. To ensure na mananalo sila, ngayon pa lang they should start campaigning or planning on how to cheat effectively.

Pimentel said that Friday's rallies in Manila and Quezon City made it clear that the public is "already tired and dissatisfied" with the way the government is being run.
Scripted na from the start.. There you go.

Woooooh..!!

    pero guys,

medyo mukhag obvious na talaga na nandaya si GMA.... and ang dami na ring unanswered accusations regarding corruption and fraud.
lesser evil pa rin kaya sya o nalampasan nya na si Erap by now?

    This is sad.

The corruption & fraud you are mentioning here, I presume, are the Northrail issue and the Foreign Consultant issue and other stuffs that are not related to the alleged election fraud committed by GMA. So we cannot really tie them together to arrive to the conclusion that GMA cheated in the elections.... again.

I'm just trying to help in how to do an objective and impartial analysis of issues.
