Our Constitution has provisions about marriage. Not one says that marriage can only be between a man and a woman. It's the Family Code that actually says that only a man and a woman can get married. I guess this is what the babaylans will use as argument to challenge the prohibition against same *** marriage when they go to the Supreme Court. But I guess no one has yet applied with the Civil Registrar for a marriage license but got denied because both applicants are male.

Para sa akin maliit lang na issue ito na pinalalaki.. posible na mabigat ang example ni pacman pero dapat respect na lang kung yun ang gusto niyang sabihin..

Nag kaka gulo lang kayo dito dahil kay Paquiao at di dahil sa opinion nya, and please it's impossible to keep your opinion to yourself if you're a public figure and were asked a question.

Kung kayo ba eh initerview at ang tanong eh kung ang transgender ba ay lalake o babae... Ano ang sagot nyo? No comment? I don't think so.

I do think every candidate should speak his or her mind about politics and everything under the sun so that voters can decide whether they agree with the candidate's beliefs.

As for me, he just turned me off further with his narrow mindedness in addition to endorsing Binay.

I guess too many boxing rounds rattled his brains already.

I dont see why this is even an issue.😀 the same people who are saying pacquiao has no right to force his beliefs are the same people who are obviously forcing their own beliefs. Labo lang. Opinions
lang naman bottomline nito di ba? Nagiging issue ng propriety
na e. Pacquiao offends the lgbt community and everybody reacts pero si pacquaio cannot voice out if he is offended by what he believes is wrong? Malas lang ni pacquiao it is he who 'needs' the lgbt votes, not the other way around. Or does he?

    lemme explain it to you

people are entitled to their own stupid beliefs. i have no problem w/ that as long as they keep it to themselves, locked away from the rest of us sane people.

the issue here is when someone running for PUBLIC OFFICE has these stupid beliefs and starts influencing LEGLISLATURE that affects all us sane people. get it?

and us sane people aren't forcing anything. we're just presenting the facts that are already WELL-ESTABLISHED, backed by EVIDENCE.

Then the proper recourse is not to vote him and influence the people in your sphere not to. Kung swerte and he loses e di he cannot influence the legislature anymore. I dont see how all these tirades can accomplish anything. For all i know, pacquiao also thinks of your beliefs (and in your own words) as 'stupid' which as you yourself said and i quote 'would be ok as long as you keep it to yourself and locked away from the rest of us sane people.' bottomline beliefs lang naman pinagtatalunan dito. Who is right and who is wrong depends on whose standard we follow. Without absolutes we are standing on shaky ground arent we?

That said, pacquiao is obviously ill-equipped to serve as senator. Let us all vote wisely!

couldn't agree more sir. pointing how wrong pac is while essentially making the exact same mistake (disrespecting every other opinion other than his own) in a different platform and audience, is.. ridiculous. Oh the irony.. the irony i tell you.

haha yeah the Pacman obviously thinks he's right. but you're missing the the most important point here, which is the difference between:

    A) beliefs based on blind faith w/ absolutely no evidence to back it up except for "god said so" or "it's written in the bible!"

    and

    B) beliefs based on EVIDENCE backed up by hundreds of years of hard science

some people think that Type-A beliefs are valid for some reason. but that's just ridiculous

At least now we know that if a proposal to allow same *** marriage is deliberated in the Senate and Pacquiao gets to sit there, he'd probably one of those who would vote it down. That's one good way for voters to weigh their decision whether to elect a candidate or not.

If SSM finally approved,,I think there will be economic benefits..First DOH,, mababasawan ang pagbibigay ng condoms at pills etc. dahil di na kailangan ng mga SSM couples.Second, since di magkakaanak ang mga SSM couples, they will just adopt street children roaming around metro manila..at masosolve ang overpopulation sa Pinas..my two cents

Funny how "conservative" senator who tried to stop the family planning law disagreed with Packyou's use of "animal"...

Reelectionist Senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto III said he "completely disagrees" with the famous boxer.

"I think he is misguided. I cannot agree at all. Completely disagree," he said.

Really? Seriously? Hindi na ba sapat na di botohin si Pacquiao dahil hindi sya qualified in the first place, at napa libotan sya ng mga trapo.

Law allowing SSM in the Philippines? Don't hold your breath.
