    3. We already have dedicated threads for each candidate so dont post any comments re: candidates... kung may suggestions lang about this poll and pwede

    4. Bawal flying voters dito

    I have zero vote!!!!!!!!!!!

I would rather abolished the House of the Senate. The government can save so much money if we are unicameral system.
Look at the performance of the Senate, all they do is to investigate in aid of legislation, passed pending bills in the last week of the session.

We do not need the senators para umunlad ang bansa, wala silang ginagawa kundi puro politika.

That's a matter of contention. The lower house is full of politicking, too... unless you don't want to count that last minute attempt to give themselves the power to affect Constitutional Change without interference from anyone else...

The only reason it seems that the Senate is full of political intrigues against the President here is because the President has alienated most of her allies in the Senate. If there were more of these outspoken people in Congress, the same would happen there, as is happening in the US at the moment.

The only difference with a Parliamentary system is that we probably won't ever have an actor/actress for Prime Minister... as the representatives elect that person themselves... but in this country where the "pork barrel" and the huge amounts of money spent on local infrastructure and contracts within congressional districts often play a hand in Congressional decisions, I'm not sure I'd trust a government made up solely of ex-Congressmen.

(C'mon, why do you think Congress is so gung-ho about the idea?)

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Hehe... because no matter what you can say about Ping (I think the guy is damn scary...) he's an unobjectionable choice for the Senate. Politically canny, very intelligent, and he knows how to back away from a lost cause without going all "balimbing" (hello? Sinong bumoto kay Tessie Aquino Oreta!?! Bwahahaha!).

Sure, he's ruthlessly ambitious, but who isn't?

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
