While it seems unlikely now you never know right? What would you do...or recommend we do if they launched a coup to topple the administration?

Should we welcome it with open arms? Seeing it as change? Should we rise up against it? Should we accept it as our fate?

I just read that there are coup warnings for Friday. Yet we all know that you cannot predict them and if there are warnings the likelihood of it happening are less.

what will i do if they launched a coup?

nothing..i'll stay at home and watch it on TV.

but seriously, chances of it happening are very slim. GMA has her loyal generals on her side, and even though the junior officers started it, they will be foiled, because of lack of support from the entire military.

unless, some junior officer who has a battalion of special forces under him with some tanks and some planes/choppers would really want to go out... but then, what he will be thinking is:

    a) what is in store for me if the coup is successful?
    b) what is in store for me if the coup fails?

In 1989, I watched Tora-toras shoot each other down, so more of the same.

same with others -- stay at home and watch it on tv. most likely than not, it will just be another futile event that would last less than a day and have a negative effect on our economy. wala namang public support so it's doomed to fail from the beginning. even the church doesn't support the call for the gma's resignation. so they'll just be viewed by everyone as a bunch of selfish goons out to grab power for themselves.

Well, first hope that it be consumated. (unlike the other "coups" launched by wimps)

Second, that it be led by junior officers not the generals

Third, that it overhauls the corrupt system

Fourth and most importantly, that it be turned over to selected and deserving civilian leaders and to civilian rule as soon as possible.

And last round up the corrupt politicians and gov't officials and sequester all their assets and return them to the state.

Come to think of it...wala nga ata choice...Pag nawala si GMA magulo, pag iniwan siya as it is, parang sinabi na pwede niya uli ulitin mga antics niya..Oh well...San bansa ba ok mag migrate tsaka masarap ang buhay?Kawawa mga anak ko in the future malamang ganitong choice din sila

Spiritual enlightement ang kailangan dito. Yung tipong enlightenment na may extraordinary intervention. Sobrang baon ang corruption, ineptness, and lack of discipline ang goverment natin bordering already in hopelesness.

What would you do if they launched a coup?
