A new index which ranked global download speeds revealed that the Philippines has one of the slowest and most expensive broadband services in the world. Averaging only around 3.64 Mbps, the next administration and government should do something about our internet. Pass a bill, impose fines and do memorandums to internet service providers and not be taken back with their monopolies in the tech world.

Correct bro. Imagine at&t, rogers, bell, telus etc. here! Kahit wag na sa speed eh, sa quality of service nalang eh. Sa globe nalang, kahit tumawag ng tumawag pero di ka HUMINGI NG REFERENCE NUMBER wala kang credits.

Im singapore, 22mbps download speed was the norm, pero monitored and identified ang sim sa iyo. someone could knock on your door if you continue to host pirated materials

Kahit pa slowest tayo in Asia, people have no choice but to get internet connection from PLDT or Globe. imho we'd probably still be stuck with GPS/EDGE if PLDT and Globe weren't constantly one-upping each other.

In hindsight, I would have preferred for that to push through even with all the kickbacks involved.
Why? Compared to the PDAF scam which is 100% kickback, I lie to believe that ZTE deal would have an actual output.

Not really. Restrictions like data-throttling is the start. Before you know it, we'll be back to the days when unlimited Internet is a premium.
