MANILA, Philippines -- Former President Joseph Estrada criticized, on Monday night, the way the results for the presidential elections were being released hours after the country's first automated elections ended.

As of 11 p.m. on Monday, the PPCRV reported Estrada trailing Sen. Benigno Aquino II. Aquino has more than eight million votes as against Estrada’s over five million.

“They have to identify the areas where the votes are coming from…. Otherwise, that’s trending,” Estrada told the Philippine daily Inquirer.

“Anyway, there are still many votes to count. They’ve yet to count 50 percent of the votes,” he added.
