Hmm... I guess tataas nanaman ang gaso dahil dito. Iran, afterall, is the second biggest producer of oil after the Saudis. The West has more to loose if an embargo pushes through at the behest of George Bush. Pag ginamit ng Iran as a economic weapon ang gaso, kawawa yung mga EU countries cuz they are the ones who buys most of it. That’s not a remote possibility if the sanction will push-through. But that is only after UN has exhausted all diplomatic channels.

Those damn oil speculators will use any excuse to raise prices. Even a bunch of protestors in Nigeria is enough to affect prices, what more if it involves the second largest producer.

either Iran is doing something bad or they're not. voting on what sanctions is one thing, but they also have to vote on what they tell each other?

Ok naman sana kung pumayag ang Iran na Russia na lang ang mag susuply sa kanila ng Uranium.

Kaso eh, gusto ng Iran na may Uranium Enrichment Facility sila. Self sufficient ika nga. That means more Nuclear Fuel for themselves, which could translate to dirty bombs.

Iran mine their own uranium, yung natatakot ng West na yung pag-enrich to weapons-grade. Yung "dirty bomb" is only a method to spread left-over radioactve material, but could not to cause the damage of an "real" atomic weapon.

Bush cannot risk going to another war, hinde nga maayos yung gulo sa Iraq. And if oil prices do go up through the stratosphere, plenty of his Republican partymates will be out of the job come mid-term elections this year.
