MANILA, Philippines—(UPDATE 2) The Second Division of the Commission on Elections on Wednesday allowed former President Joseph Estrada to run for president in the May 2010 elections, as it dismissed the disqualification case filed by Evelio Pormento.

In its ruling, the poll body’s second division said Estrada could not be covered by the constitutional ban on a President’s reelection because he is not an incumbent President intending to run for reelection.

In my opinion, Estrada will be disqualified by the Supreme Court. Now under such circumstances, the senario will be either Estrada will have to be replaced by his party by a party member such as his son Jinggoy or Estrada's party will be supporting those contending presidentiables, now when that happends, I think the Estrada party goes for Noynoy presidency...this is just my wild guess since anything goes in Philippines politics...
