    Noticed how difficult it is to ask for a wage increase but so easy to increase the price of goods. You don't need rocket science to know that the workers really need an increase in their daily wage. Of course businessmen will always be against it. Reality of life.

    A lot of factors affect prices of goods. And a big percentage of that is from wages.

    True, pagwage increase theres no way around it not to raise prices.

    Unlike if say theres a price hike in raw materials, there are ways like trimming or reducing so price of the end product remain unchanged as much as possible.

    For a manufacturing company
    Cost of goods manufactured:
    1. Raw materials;
    2. Direct labor;
    3. Manufacturing overhead
    For #1 and #3, work around/alternatives can be implemented. But an increase in #2 is fully added to cost of goods manufactured

    This echoes what many of us here were saying a few days ago.

    They should just let the National Wages and Productivity Commission do its job. The Commission was created by Congress through legislation.
