Living in england for almost 6 years, I noticed that political correctness is killing christmas.. i,e.. naming it as winterval instead of xmas,...Councils are making sure that people of different culture/religious belief are not offended by celebrating xmas...

^happy holidays is a catch-all para walang maoffend....it covers christmas, hanukkah and ramadan. kahit atheists covered siguro because the time off makes it a holiday (not sure).

This whole "political correctness" thing is retarded. Glad the Philippines isn't affected by it much, but then again the Philippines is predominantly Christian.

Christmas is "politically incorrect" and "offensive", while Hannukah, Ramadan et al are not (double standard eto sa Western countries)?! I find the double standard offensive.

di uso dito sa england (i think even the rest of europe) walang christmas or yearend bunos. only american companies (but sometimes they even follow local companies) here give yearend bunos.

ganun talaga if you're a member of the majority. ikaw yung PC, while minorities can get away with a lot.

a minority in the US can get away with calling someone white trash, but don't ever call someone a ghetto n****r :hihihi:

But why be offended? Christmas isn't a racial slur, it's just a freaking holiday!

i'm with you. people here go out of their way to try to find stuff to be offended by. there was one guy who sued the state because the US Pledge of Allegiance said "one nation under God"

    so true.

You can't even compliment light skin anymore (eg porcelain skin, milky skin) because people get offended, but if you compliment dark skin you get lauded for it. I've seen this too many times online
