ano ba proper care and maintenance ng mga turbo sa makina...

ang makina kse ng auto ng friend ko is sa pajero..4D56 ata yun pero surplus...oks naman yng takbo..ano ba maipapayo nyo para tumagal yng buhay nung turbo at nung makina...

cool the turbo by idling it for 2 to 5 minutes bago mo i shut down
kung wala kang time get a turbo timer!

Giving the turbo some downtime before shutting off the engine is important. Turbo engines also take in more stress then N/A one so be vigilant when it comes to maintainance, change the oil regularly (every 5thou km or 3-4months) and use oil that is recommended for turbo diesel engines.

Also, since it's a surplus engine, i'd suggest you change the timing belt and have the fuel injectors/system checked and cleaned for optimum performance.

Turbo engines are also more responsive to intake and exhaust mods (i.e free flow filter and larger diameter exhaust piping).

kaya pala sa patrol ng dad ko, 4 months palang palyado na ung makina.. di niya kasi naaalagaan ng maayos.. tsktsk..

pano un 3-5 minutes bago patayain ung engine?

Kiper, dapat sinsundan ng erpats mo yung regular PMS schedule. Kung palyado, try checking the fuel system/filters.

Around 30sec to 1min of idle time will do i think. it'll depend also i guess on how hard the car was driven beforehand.

On the turbo timer, i think you can find some sa mga surplus shops. I think i also read before na there's an alarm brand that has such a function (i cant remember). There are also branded turbo timers available sa mga race shops.

Sa installation, i think the shops that can handle turbo jobs can do it. Just consult them beforehand
