How far does a vehicle will stop, once the empty gas warning appeard?

ang alam ko lng na pag nsa E na ung fuel gauge mo, u can still run for like 10km? d ako sure about this.. wag mo nlang pababain ng 1/8 pra hindi masira fuel pump mo.

the Rav4 has around 5L of reserve fuel. I've been able to drive the vehicle for around 10 km since the empty gas indicator lit up.

On our car, if I recall correctly the light goes on when there are 8 liters of gas left. Usually you can drive (no traffic) for about 30-50km more.

Sa una kasi dim pa or namamatay pa yung ilaw pag gumalaw...ok pa yan. Pag maliwanag na at di na namamatay or matagal bago mamatay, pagas ka na. :D

The 1981 Corolla DX lights up at the E line, and is really empty when the needle is below the E line.

The 1990 Corolla XL lights up brightly above the E line, and is really empty when the needle is at the bottom part of the thick E line.

The 1998 Corolla GLi starts to light up below 1/4th, but gets bright above the line. (Sorry di pa ako nauubusan ng gas. )

The Altis is more conservative. 1/4th pa lang maliwanag na. (Di pa rin ako naubusan.)

Its not really accurate, depende sa angle nung daan or nung vehicle habang tumatakbo or nakahinto...

pero in most vehicle, may 5liter pa talagang reserve then basically, you just need to compute for the km/l mo.

Depende sa design ng fuel tank at design nung sender. para malaman mo (at least estimate) kapag nagwarning na, mag gas ka full tank. subtract mo na lang yung ikinarga para magfull tank dun sa capacity ng tangke. para maestimate mo naman kung gaano kalayo ang tatakbuhin ng car mo, multiply mo na lang yung nakuha mong number sa ave. fuel consumption ng car.

Example:
let say 47.5 l ang kinarga para magfulltank tapos 50 l ang capacity at 8.5km/l ang fuel comsumtion.

50-47.5 = 2.5 l (ito ang natitira pa sa tangke kapag nagwarning)
2.5*8.5 = 21.25 km ( ito ang pwede pang takbuhin)

kaya lang di advisable na mag running-on-empty ka kasi masisipsip ang sediments o dumi.

on my bimmer, kapag sinabing empty, ubos talaga. sanay pa naman ako sa mga japanese cars where a red light only means "you might wanna start looking for a pump".
