    [SIZE=3]5th Mt. Pinatubo Trek[/SIZE]
    November 30, 2003 Sunday 5:00am
    via Sta. Juliana, Capas, Tarlac
    In cooperation with Angeles City Four Wheelers Club, Inc.

    ITINERARY

    5am - ASSEMBLY at Clark main gate
    REGISTRATION of participants
    and acceptance of payment

    6am - DEPARTURE for Sta Juliana Capas Tarlac on
    board 4x4 vehicles

    7am - ARRIVAL at Sta Juliana Capas Tarlac
    Briefing and assignment of Seats Comfort Stop.

    8am - DEPARTURE for O' Donnell River channel

    9am - ARRIVAL at Sitio Dapili (base camp)
    Disembark from 4x4 vehicles

    9:15am - TREKKING (on foot) towards the crater
    minimum of two (2) hours

    11:15 - ARRIVAL AT THE WORLD FAMOUS
    PINATUBO CRATER LAKE
    Rest stop/packed/photo ops
    (swimming not encouraged)

    1pm - RESUME TREKKING (on foot) towards
    Sitio Dapili

    3pm - ARRIVAL at Sitio Dapili
    Start boarding 4x4 vehicles

    4pm - DEPARTURE for Sta Juliana

    5pm - ARRIVAL at Sta Juliana

    6pm - BARBECUE DINNER AWARDING OF
    CERTIFICATES OF CONQUEST AND T-SHIRTS

    7PM - DEPARTURE for Clark Main Gate

    8pm - ARRIVAL at Clark Main Gate

    bakit 2 hours lang ang trek ngayon?? tsk tsk... parang gusto ko bumalik a! wala namang pasok yang day na yan kasi holiday diba?

    yup yup nag meeting kahapon ang AC4W straight lang daw ang daan di kasi gaanong umulan kaya mapapalapit ang base camp...konti nalang lalakarin

    mayroon nga mag lalakad na mga christian fellowship group 200 people from tarlac to crater overnight sila doon, malamang sasagasaan ng mga 4x4 vehicles hehe kasi above 50 vehicles ang included.

    Tamang-tama sir. Cge txt kita hehehehe. Kaya lang 10 kami sa grupo. Saka yung isang kasama namin may kilalang 4x4 driver din. Basta sir txt kita. Salamatski!!!

    ok lang yan 4 passengers kasi per 4x4 vehicles

    basta dapat may boarding pass kayo :D

    baka kailangan ninyo ng geologist (though businessman na ako ngayon)...

    i will explain the diff. rock types and geologic structures present in Mt. Pinatubo... actually, that area is very interesting geologically... ehehe, boring, no? :D

    oy, ako rin ha, penge ng kopya. bigyan ko na lang kayo ng cd.

    gusto ko rin sumama, pero baka dito na lang ako sa fort tumambay sa linggo. next year na lng siguro.

    p.s. bakit swimming is not encouraged?

    we have to remember that this volcano is still very geologically active... sulfur emissions and rising magma under the crater lake can heat the water... the temp. of the water varies greatly and can change quickly w/o necessarily being connected to increased volcanic activity of the mountain...

    but then again, they may simply just want the water in the crater lake to remain, clean, clear and pristine... ehehe... :D
