malamang, katulad yan sa nabili namin sa PriceSmart.

Fibreglass yong flexible rod, held in place by an aluminum tube, both ends.

Seguro, yong mga commercial tents pwede rin, instead of aluminum tube, other metal tube na lang na pwedeng i-weld, tapos lock by screws sa bed. It should work.

Meron din ganitong style ng tent:

I think it's much cheaper than an RTT. Dala lang ng portable table (and waterproof boxes) to put your stuff on while you sleep in it.

But you need to unload alot of things.

Better if you put the tent on top of pickup bed rack. So theres still storage beneath.

Yes yun naman talaga advantage ng RTT.

The truck bed tent is good for casual/cost-conscious campers. Halos 100% naman ng pickup sa atin is crew-cab type so pwede to fold up or remove the rear seat and put stuff there if solo or duo camping lang.

    kimpoy,

di ba option mo naman itanggal ang campershell pag kailangan, at ibalik ulit? o masyadong matrabaho ba yun?

anyway, nakita ko lang yung tent para sa mga SUV, sa mga magazines, but there should be models para sa pick-up. try asking Kits at Armark, he may know where to get it.

kaso, i chose to get a ground tent (4-man tent ng Coleman). its a great tent and will keep you warm and dry in Hi-Peak. Yun ang ginamit ko doon when I joined Phil and Ungas the first time up. The rain-fly is really useful too, for added protection against moisture seeping into the tent.

Pero, for that hard ground at Hi-Peak, buy those heavy-duty steel pegs that Coleman also sells separately. The ones that come with the tent are too thin and bend easily when trying to peg into hard ground like in Hi-Peak
