Natalo ng ng Corolla ang Beetle. But the Beetle reached that figure using basically the same car unlike the Corolla that was changing every 4 years or so.

Yung New Beetle ay ang second generation pa lang.

yes, the first generations of corolla didn't have any resemblance to the latest models........even the logo, right?

Yup. Yung parang stylized Japanase character pa ang logo noon. I'm really amazed at what VW has managed to achieve with the same basic car for all those years.

just read recently that toyota, besides being the bestselling brand in the philippines, attained the following: the altis(corolla?), camry, vios and revo are the bestselling vehicles in their categories.i don't remember which SUV has the most sales though, thought it was the x-trail but i might be wrong.

i think the corolla sold 1M vehicles in the year 2002... as in 1 year lang 1M vehicles... nabasa ko lang po. cant rem where

and the civic's been trailing behind...........i think the designers in Honda hv got 2 go back to the drawing board much sooner
not for the civic's cosmetic changes but for a total makeover.

maganda naman yung new civic kala lang medyo mas good look talaga yung altis IMHO..

the latest gen honda civic came out in 2001 in the US and was ahead of the corolla for 2 years. the corolla came a year later and has 3 trim levels: the base CE, upscale LE and sporty S. the hatchback variant "Matrix" is also being sold but it's the S trim which surprisingly sold well and honda's civic didn't see it coming.
