4X2 Pick up, may stepboards o wala?

mas maganda po tingnan pag walang stepboard.. imo lang po..

i've always found most stepboards rather useless... lagi kong tinatalunan yung stepboard when getting off a vehicle equipped with one

Mas ok kung walang step boards, although pag mataas ang 4x2 na pick up like the frontier it looks better.

If the owners and users are "vertically challenged" then by all means get a stepboard. But if they are of average height or better then, as mbt pointed out, you dont really need them :D

It is relative to the vehicle height and user height/capabilities as the others mentioned. When we got our Frontier 4x2 we found it rather high and we had to put a stepboard since i was the only one who had no problems getting on and we had to consider that my lolo and lola or kid cousins will be riding it from time to time.

...Though medyo di pa rin ako sure kung tatanggalin ko ang rear bumpers ko kasi additional protection talaga yun. It looks good without it though, kitang kita ang tires :wink:

I don't really need my stepboard (sumasayad kapag nag ra-rough roading ako)...i hope may mangailangan para mabenta ko na! :roll:

kung di gagamitin sa offroad oks lang pero kung park light sa stepboard may use yun pag gabi and pag may matanda and bulilit na gustong sumakay sa pik up m:mrgreen:

sa daraitan po we (yung mga nakasama) learned that na mas maganda pag may bumpers and stepboards dahil dagdag protection, kagaya po yung nangyari dun sa kasama namin na si sir ted (from ai.org), swerte po siya dhil di niya tinanggal the stepboards, kaya hindi na damage body nung surf niya... get my point po?

pero kung city driving lang naman po and di naman gagamitin sa extreme off-roading... mas cool ang walang stepboards. imo lang po.

Mga sirs,
Desidido na po talaga ako sa pag-alis ng stepboards. Ang Pinoproblema ko ngayon ay ang rear bumpers ko. Ang ganda kasi talaga tingnan kapag wala ung rear bumpers. Kitang-kita ang rear wheels. Ang kaso, no more protection ako sa rear gets? :cry:

Irrepairable naman ata yung rear bumper mo, eh. At least kung yung body, pa-PDR na lang naten.

Saka lagyan mo nung rear foglamp gaya ng sabi sa owner's manual mo. Cool yun sobra.

Pwede namang rock-skis instead of stepboards for side sill protection. At least sa skis pwede mong ipatong ang buong weight ng sasakyan without damaging them.

otep ano yung sinasabi mong rear foglights,kinakabit ba to sa rear bumper?o pede rin kahit wala,kasi dati nung may rear bumper pa ko meron akong rear foglights mounted sa ilalim,pero nung tinangal ko na following your advice,hehehe la na ko malagyan.

boy2 added height din ang walang stepboards,
kung sa tingin mo di maiiwasan mag contacr ang obstacle sa panel eh sagasaan mo yung obstacle para ma clear ang panel (yung kasi ang ginawaga ko eh)

saka pinaka ok talaga walang stepboards lalo na binata ka at mahilig mag mini skirts ang date mo he..he

jay crew::: pre yung rearward facing foglights ng mitsu usually naka mount sa bumper. If you see pajeros na merong ilaw sa bumper, yun na yon :D (Except yung mga us version na turn signal and brakelight yung naka mount)

u can remove the rear bumper
BUT... put on a stainless tube that will replace the purpose of your rear bumper..
and mas astig ang dating nun IMHO.
