Lagi kong naririnig sa ganyan, especially for pick ups, is to always carry load ie 1 or two sandbags... Dunno if it's effective![]()
I've also heard what they did for the early models of the adventure na sobrang tagtag (one male driver attested to me na sumasakit ang dede nya hehehe) was to replace the leaf springs with softer ones. But that will sacrifice your max load capacity which you stated you don't want.
Anyway, let's just wait for the experts to reply...![]()
You can go the reverse leaf-spring route. One sales agent at Isuzu confessed to me that they did this with one D-Max tester to make the ride softer (wonder if it's the Media test unit? Hmmmmmm....).
I think another tsikoteer posted here before that there's a way to reverse the leaf spring without sacrificing load... you just put rubber stubs on top of the bottom leaf-spring (the reversed one) so that when the load is enough to push the top two springs down on top of the rubber, the reversed spring will once again act as part of the suspension (instead of just hanging free, as in most reverse-spring set-ups).
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
underpressure nyo ng 2psi yung gulong nyo (if you are following the specs)....sobra na ang pag-uunder pressure if the thread wear becomes pangit and unbalanced.
This is the best way to 'soften' your pick-ups harsh ride. In addition to this, there are after market gas-filled shocks which you can replace your OEMs with like Old Man Emu and the like. I did this to my Nissan Frontier pick-up and the ride improved dramatically. Another improvement is your rear end 'sags' a bit therefore, the rear-end's height equals the height of the front. Downside with this exercise is, your load capacity becomes 30% less. But if you rarely carry extra-heavy loads, this set up is best.
