Di hamak mas malambot ang spring rates ng torsion bars kung ito ay OEM spec. Independent Front Suspension setups have the smoothest ride, a sedan-like if I may compare.
Kaya nga ang Mitsubishi nilagay nila sa Pajero gen3 Independent Rear Suspension setups. Thought the downside will be limited cargo weight capacity compared to coils-solid axles and leaf sprung-axles.
Isuzu still utilizes its IFS setups on pickups and SUVs line up.
JAYarc::: You were asking for smooth ride and comparison was given, altering for aftermarket parts on torsion bars is another thing.
Yes, yung tubo na mismo ang may load when mounted instead of common coil or leaf springs. Medyo limited nga ang modifications na magagawa, but aftermarket parts are abundant in other countires. Modifying torsion bar's spring rates are easily adjusted by turning the bolts in for more stiffer ride. But you will have to reset the whole bar before achieving the correct lift. Stiffer spring rate will be attained if the nuts are simply tightened from OE spec.
