Sa megamall. DUn ako sa open parking behind bldgA. Nung una parang gummy yung feeling nung paalis na ako. tapos pag tingin ko, yung rim ko sa sumasayad. So hayun, jack ako.... buti na lang hydraulic! ANAK NG %#%^$%^**!!!! ANG BIGAT NG MGA HINAYUPAK NA GULONG KO!

heto lang isang tip...... regarless of what the manual says, place the jack BENEATH the axle itself(if rr ang flat). I initially put the jack on the jack point for the rear (sa crossmember), pucha! hindi ko maisalpak yung spare coz bumaba ng todo yung end nung axle!

..............wala lang, just sharing :wink:

FUNYETA NGA! Hehehe. Hindi pa ko na-platan sa buong driving career ko, eh. May nagtangka once (tatlong pako sa right rear tire). I made it to the vulcanizing shop just in time bago mag-collapse yung sidewall.

pajerokid... hehehehe. happens to anybody. yun nga lang malalaki yata tires mo eh.
since nag-oofroad ka naman yata. i would suggest that you use an anti-puncture solution or spray to be put inside sa tires mo. i just don't know if these stuff are really effective though.

last time akong na-flatan nung college days ko pa, magaan pa mga gulong dahil kotse lang. ini imagine ko nga minsan kung ma-flatan ako sa patrol ko sa expressway, tapos bihis na bihis ako dahil me attend na party. pucha ang bibigat ata ng mga gulong ng patrol!

kim::: apparently i ran over a sharp piece of metal while i was enjoying my F150 at the fort (yun rc na F150 hehehe). Walang foreign object na nakuha, but merong half-inch slit puncture

I had to get a special german patch to fix this. buti na lang marami samin. :D

Otep::: Actually pre first time ko rin ma-platan sa labas. Sa mga ex-car ko, pag nakita kong medyo malambot o may singaw, dala agad sa vulcanizing! FUNYETAH! Para akong nag-weights!!!

ungas::: thankfully, not a scratch yung mags ko hehehe :D its a minor miracle considering gravel yung parking lot (PRAISE THE LORD! hehe )

meron na nga ako laging dala isang bag with 2 shirts (1 pang labas, 1 pang dumi/tulog/bahay), 1 brief, 1 shorts, shaver (para pagnakalimutan magshave sa bahay), flashlight, spare batt for flashlight, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste. he he, anytime pwde na ako mag overnight kung saan saan. lagi kong dala itong bag na ito kahit ibang car ang dala ko.

Hindi pala kayo "expert" sa flat tire....

On my point of view (expert po ako dito at di ko na mabilang kung ilang beses na akong na flatan in my 13 years or so of driving different vech from motor, tricycle, pickup, kotse, jeep, van, etc) eto ang pinaka simpleng practice and equipment:

1) Before riding the car (lalo na kung matagal, like from shopping or malling) ALWAYS inspek the wheels muna .... its just about a 3 to 5 second trip around the car ..... kung ok ang gulong.

2) Bring a bike pump at least. Its a less than P200 investment. Huwag foot pump (hindi kaya lalo na kung malaki ang gulong mo).

2a) A sosyal na option is those motor pumps....but god it takes eons to pump the wheels....mas mabilis pa ang bike pump.

2b) Under scrutiny ko na option is a CO2 tank (pang air pistol) filled with CO2 and with matching adaptor ng hose ng bike pump....pag naging successful etong plano kong ito i-update ko kayo.

I got this idea from 4x4 enthusiast na may dalang air tank (parang maliit na O2 tank sa ospital) on their 4wheeling rides. Pang replace back the hangin pag nag air-down sila.

With these options...last resort na ang magpalit ng tires....you probably will not use the spare shirts din kasi hindi ka naman magkakapawis (kahit magpump lang kasi pede ka namang magpahinga saglit). Hindi ka rin madudumihan ng kamay.

glenn::: its not that bad naman pre. pawis and dumi lang. sana nga di mo daanan yun but just in case, dapat alam mo where your tools are and how to use them :D

wreckless::: Ma'am bringing spare air compressors wont be useful if you have a puncture :D Whats better is that aerosol can filled with compressed air and puncture sealant .......... for a quick fix. :D I havent used one yet though :D

Make sure the aerosol you buy is the non-flammable type. Most brands on the market today are still flammable.

ako naman nag putok ang tire ko sa expressway, buti na lang at pauwi na ako nun kaya yung japorms ko ok lang madumihan,
nung naman kasama ko si misis na flat kami sa expressway, aba at tinignan lang kami ng highway patrol grrr kakainis
tama yung style mo andy dapat may extra shirt at sabon, kasi after ko mag change tire walng sabon dun sa toilet ng gas station grrr kainis
