Guys, I have a fire extinguisher in my ride..its about a foot in length. I was just wondering where I could buy a mounting kit for it? I plan to mount it kasi on the rear pillar of my trunk. Thanks.

    wiretap_md,
Um, use those large chrome radiator clamp-like things. May XXL size nun. Ganun ginawa namin sa Galant dati, eh.

You may want your "LATERO" to make you one just like this

or this (See Jeff H Civilian Bracket) Ganoon ang gusto mo para quick release.

If you are using Radiator clamps to hold the Fire extinguisher.... Walang magiging silbe ito kasi kailangan mo pa ng screwdriver to remove the FE.
But if you are using the clamps to hold the bracket and not the FE. Thats fine.

The best place to put your FE & Bracket is in front of the front driver seat ( sa flooring and not on the seat itself ) .... Just like the 500E benz.

    theres my 2 cents....

    wiretap_md,

We just screwed it on an existing hole. Tapos binalutan namin ng konting goma yung extinguisher. We just tightened the clamp real hard para hindi mahulog.

Or you can just get yourself a First Alert extinguisher (like the one in my rig). Maganda ang mounting bracket. Designed for quick deployment during emergencies.

    odell,

Sa SM City basement. Dun sa hardware. Siguraduhin mo lang na automotive na First Alert ang bibilhin mo. Hindi yung pang-kusina. hehehe.

Kailangan talaga may quick release. You don't want to be looking for a screw driver when you need it the most.

    afrasay,
Wala po. May built-in tester siya. As long as ok siya sa test, its supposed to work.

    BTTT.

It's ok. Just to be safe, I bought an extinguisher that was designed for automotive use.

I think of it as additional safety equipment. I had an old Volkswagen that almost burst into flames when the battery under the rear passenger seat short-circuited, so I've been a bit wary of electrical fires in vehicles ever since.

As they say, "Better to have it and not need it..."
