The Chinese Volunteers? Makati City Fire Dept.? NAIA Fire Brigade? Perhaps you know a fire engine or two that you have come across with some extra cool features like sky probing ladders, powerful on-board pumps, etc.

I've always wondered if we had an engine similar to this...

QC just bought 1 firetruck similar to this. Naka park sa City Hall grounds. Dati nakita ko din yung Pasig na may ganitong type ng firetruck.

I would think NAIA since they have to be within certain standards or the airport can lose it's standing as an international airport from the FAA and other foreign regulating bodies.

OT: I have a cousin in California that visits the Philippines yearly and stays at a hotel when she is in Manila. Her brother from Nueva Ecija(sp?) refuses to stay at the hotel if the room is higher than the 4th floor. He tells her the reason is because if there is a fire, the fire department has nothing that can rescue him from the 15th floor of the high rise buildings. Even if they did they'll probably only have one or two and there'll be hundreds to rescue.

Some refineries here also have those kind of fire trucks. They really do invest big on safety.

I just remembered that there was an article a few years back about the firetruck sa Mandaluyong(?) -not really sure- belonged to some fire volunteers comprised of businessmen.

The truck was made nearly of pure stainless steel and had the most powerful water turret. There was a time daw that they responded to a 3 alarm fire in the Parola compound. They used this truck their to put out the flames on the shanties which sent some of the homes flying daw because of the extreme water pressure it gives out

It can also suck up a water tanker's load in just 10 minutes.

    Neat!
