Kia Sorento for me. Mas-pogi kasi and dating nya.

Do you need the 4 wheel drive? If you don't, you may want to consider the Mazda Tribute.

if you're not gonna plan on any hauling.. i would also go for the tribute... kia is tempting although biglang dumating itong tribute...its has v6, cheaper and it wont elicit violent reactions when people ask you what your new car is..

if you're gonna haul things..a pick-up is really really useful..although you have a big trade off sa comfort..

apples and oranges, two different kind of vehicle, different orientation,

if you haul a lot, lalo na kung pang business, then Dmax is for you
but if you haul persons then sorento ka na, midsizer SUV

for daily driver without hauling things around: sorento, but wait for the diesel version. or is there already a diesel version?

syempre, para sa akin, mas all purpose ang d-max coz i like the thought of being able to carry things/ people sa pickup bed. hehhehe, tatalbog talbog sila! :D

i guess i'll take a sorento as a daily driver over a d-max... a wagon-type truck would be more comfortable and more practical for me since i wouldn't be hauling anything in a pickup bed anyway

although between a sorento and similarly-priced alternatives (including excellent prospects on the used-car market), i'd probably spring for a used turbodiesel large SUV instead

Ok na din ako sa Sorento. Contemplated on getting a truck once. Then I realized I had nothing to haul (and that I do have a trailer in case i needed to).

Basta may pintle hook sa likod, happy na ko. Sayang walang ganun ang Sorento.

    D-Max
    because its Isuzu
    because its diesel
because it has better resale value over time.

here is the price for the D-max: 920K for M/T 4X2, add 50K more for A/T, while the 4X4 starts at 1.2M for the M/T add 50K more for the A/T.

anyway, medyo bias ako. i strongly recommend D-Max, kasi I have one already. Imagine mo, may car ka na, may truck ka pa. Saka izusu yun, dependable talaga.

If the Sorento here has a manumatic, i'll definitely go for that. My only concern in choosing this over the pickup is the fuel economy. In any case, only you guys can tell if you need pickups. Like what the others stated, if you dont have anything to haul regularly, what's the point in getting one? Not unless of course you're a pick-up fan (i respect that )

between the two, i'd go for the Kia Sorento as my daily drive. it is a bargain for a M size SUV. although am a bit wary of kia's V6 - as there is still no track record of its performance.

but as another tsikoter mentioned, i'd strongly recommend the Mazda Tribute. its engine is more capable than the kia's and its performance has already proven.
