Depende rin sa air fuel mixture. Feeling ko medyo lean ang mixture nila. Tipid kasi sa fuel.
Yup, i noticed this for some time already. Must be because of the catalytic converter.
Question lang about the catalytic converter... may CC kasi yung gas engined Ford ko and sabi nung dealer eh wag daw akong mag karga ng premium gas like velocity, blaze, or gold at baka daw masira yung CC...
Ang pagkakaalam ko ay lead lang ang nakakasira ng CC. And since unleaded na dapat lahat ng gasoline grades sa Pilipinas, wala dapat effect right ? Or is there something else sa premium gas na delikado sa mga cat converters ?
Dealers are sometimes not exactly the best persons to trust when it comes to car care info. Most of them are there because it is their job, not because it is their passion.
Phased out na ang unleaded sa atin pero most dealers I have talked to still claim that the premium fuels (Blaze, Velocity, Gold) still contain lead. Ayoko naman na makipagdebate pa sa kanila. I just ask the peeps here at the site for advice na lang.

engot yun dealer mo sir. must be one of those salesmen who do not know what they are selling. di man lang nag-research bago nagbigay ng advice sa customers. trabaho nya yun na dapat lahat ng features ng binebenta nya ay technically knowledgeable sya, pero as usual basta maka-benta lang ok na sa kanya.Originally posted by hagiber

except in the provinces where they still sell leaded gasoline for farm and fishing boats, ang alam ko wala ng tinda na leaded gas sa metro manila. and yes, it's only lead that will plug up your CC.
wala naman atang catalytic converter ang new patrol? pero sobrang baho nga ng amoy ng exhaust. kapag nagwa-warm up ako in the morning, pumapasok minsan sa bahay yung usok pag mahangin. sakit sa ilong.

From experience catalytic converters don't have an effect on exhaust smell. I ran my pajero really lean before and exhaust smell was terrible. troopers are known to go 20km/l even 30 at some tests.

any willing distributors he.hehe.
Hi All,
One of the gravy of biodiesel is that the usok doesn't smell anything like petrol, smells like latik, popcorn and french fries scent. Added to this, CO, HC and PM are all significantly reduced. Also, the soot is reduced by 50% at B5 or 5% blend with the diesel fuel. That's just for starters, engine durability, efficiency with high lubricity, solvency, Cetane #, Oxygen content, nil on sulfur gives you an environmentally friendly, renewable, indigenous, domestic and clean burning fuel far better than Rapeseed, Soybean Esters. We now have the Philippine National Standard for our own Coconut Methyl Ester or Biodiesel done by our Dept of Energy together with car manufacturers, oil co's, agencies concerned, NGO's.
Thanks.

Sounds good! Can we also use biodiesel for fumigation? If that's possible, we don't need to hire pest control experts to get rid of those annoying insects, specially mosquitoes. Laking tipid diba?

Kaya lang madikit amoy ng biodiesel. I ran 100% biodiesel, mabango amoy pero after i ran out my interior smelled like it too. Oh and does running 100% BD really increase engine temp? parang BD burns hotter, I think thats why i felt more power.
