we're renting a van to sagada... our options are hi-ace grandia 2000, nissan escapade 2005, or hi-ace commuter 2004...

kayanin kaya akyatin ng nissan escapade 2005 and daan from banaue to sagada, di ba underpowered?

    what other suggestions?

any of the above mentioned vans will do. ang hindi niyo lang maaakyat ay yun sa kiltapan tower (piltel cp tower) and the trails around sagada that gets muddy when it rains. you need a 4x4 to get there other than that go ahead enjoy the climate, scenery and coffee of sagada.

If you prefer the comfort of your vehicle, 4x4's are excellent for the rocky unconcreted roads between Banaue and Sagada. Low ground clearance vehicles are not recommended as deep soft muds can easily occur during landslides.

Kahit jeepney kaya ang Sagada. The Grandia is the most comfortable van among your choices.

Yes, other areas require 4x4's. But you can always choose not to do those roads.

We have been there using a toyota revo, little need for 4X4 capbilities, plus last time we went there (about 2 yrs) the Halsema highway was under construction/rehab about 50% finished.

I agree on the "enjoy the herbs and vegetables comment".
