Guys, sira daw water pump ng L300 namin. Dinala sa 2 mechanic for estimate yung isa 4k all in with labor, yun isa P3300 all in din. Question ko lang is, maselan ba tong part na to? kelangan ba original dapat? or kung pwede replacement anong brand maganda?

Oh my.... napaka-mahal. Try to canvass sa ibang Mitsubishi specialist. Tawagan mo eto 7445370 hanapin mo Badong. Sabihin mo ni refer kita. I'm Jay Castillo.

GMB is a good replacement brand.

There's nothing sophisticated naman sa water pump, its primarily mechanical. Buti sana kung may electronics involved which would justify the price.

GMB is a good brand. That's what we always use when there is an available model for the application.

Just make sure marunong ang gagawa para leak free and pantay ang pulley.

    1) paandarin yung makina then open yung radiator cap
    2) rev the engine using acclerator cable o kung diesel yung makina sa may injection pump

minsan lang nasisira ang internals ng water pump. ang palagi nasisira sa water pump ay ang mga seals. when the seals are broken already it will leak waer, kaya if may leak na ang water pump change it right away couse next in line would be the bearings of the shafting, and once ito masira sigurado standby ka sa da-an.

yes pwede DIY mag palit water pump. patience lang kailangan. common steps in replacing are:
    -remove fan shroud
    -remove fan belts
-remove fan (while at it check if the clutch fan needs new silicone oil)
    -remove water pump
-clean water pump contact area in engine block
-apply thin coat silicon sealant/gasket maker for a tighter seal
    -install paper gasket to block
    -install new water pump
and re install in reverse what you have removed. just be careful of the belt tension, too tight and they will damage new pump and alternator bearings, too loose and they will slide and squeak.

have done this na on my pick-up 2 hours pwede na.

Yung sa Sentra B14, GMB is 850.
