    yup i think its possible coz my friend had his galant converted to a vr4 they changed the engine, suspension, gas tank,...as in alot. pwedeh cguro kaso for me its not worth it. it can lower the resale value of the car unless you get a really good mechanic to make the conversion na parang original yung pagkagawa

    .....para maging 4x4????? sticker!!! :lol::mrgreen::lol:

    lalgyan ng transfer case. kaya lang pag walang provisions yung transmission para sa transfer case, papalitan buong transmission... it will cost you a lot!

    tapos lalagyan ng front differential.

    sticker na lang lagay mo!!! :lol:

    Converting the Pajero to 4X4 is only a question of how much you are willing to spend. Since there is really no 4X2 model in the Pajero line-up, Mitsubishi just didn't put in the necessary hardware for 4WD operation. Some of those items are the front differential, transfer case, drive status indicator, etc.

    In theory, you can just buy all the missing items and have then installed in your existing rig.

    However, no one (except Mitsubishi) knows exactly all the parts which are 'missing' in the 4X2 model.

    Personally, I'd rather buy something with the 4WD already installed than have it retrofitted.

    kiper18,

    You'd also need new front wheel hubs for the Patrol. On 4X2 patrols the hub ends are just sealed off. On 4X4 Patrols, you can see the hub marked with "LOCK" and "AUTO" in orange letters and there is a selector nut in the middle. That's how you separate the posers from the 'dozers.

    I'm not sure if the trasfer case is already there, but the existing transmission need not be replaced.
