    Guys,

    Is this important? sa trooper kasi pag dating ng 20K repack na ang bearings. Yung Mazda MPV ko eversince di ko pa napa repack ang bearings.. wat is the advantage? Takot ko baka kasi lalo masira pag ginalaw ko eh ok naman ang takbo so far.

    yup must repack bearing especially after wading flood waters, mura lang naman yan mdpo and your cars will thank you.

    ako after rainy season ako nagpapa repack ng bearing.

    sa strada after an off road event.

    Mura lang naman ang repack ng grease sa bearings, 200-300/per wheel. Baka nga mahal pa itong guesstimate ko. I do have my bearings checked after every offroad trail at my suking gas service station.

    You should repack bearings after 20K for normal city driven vehicles to avoid burnt discoloration and ball bearing warp due to prolonged operating heat. Bearings will last longer when properly lubed.

    Lahat ng bakal na bagay na may parteng umiikot merong bearings. Imagine pag walang bearings ang sasakyan mo kada linggo maglalagay ka ng shims or palit ng pyesa. :bwahaha:

    di ba ito yung may grease nipple tapos sasakan ng gasolin boy? 15-20 pesos per nipple?

    or iba pa yung bearing repack? rrrrr akala ko kasi yung bungo kung saan umiikot yung gulong sa mga front diffs...sa jeep ko kasi dati ginawa to hehehe

    jeepcruz... balitaan mo ako after maka repack ka ng wheel bearings mo kung magkano. Yung sa kin di pa rin na repack. 78,000 km na, battered and scratched but still going strong

    Ako karerepack ko lang sa oto ko... just make sure maingat sila magtanggal ng oil seal... mga 300 nga per wheel... 2 lang akin kailangan irepack so 600 lang binayad ko kasama na grasa... nagpalit nga lang ako oil seal dahil may punit na akin dati... but usually once a year ako nagpaparepack.

    basically nilalagyan lang naman ng bagong grasa yung bearing. In time nauubos yung grasa and nagde-degrade so yung function niya to lubricate the bearings nai-impaired din so kailangan lagyan ng bagong grease. Pag dinadaan mo rin regularly sa baha mas lalo na. Tama ba Ungas?

    mdpo: pag properly removed and replaced walang problema yan. Preventive maintenance kasi yan para you can get the most out of your bearings. Sa Servitek ok. If you want meron available na mga mas magandang grasa sa Hans or sa ibang auto supply. Higher load and temp capability and more water resistant.

    jeep: iba pa yung binabaril ng grease guns na normal mga suspensions joints. Sa ibang mga oem parts nga wala na nito but pag pinaltan mo ng 555 meron. hindi yung sardinas ha

    Yung sinasabi mo zerk fittings commonly found in ball joints and tie rod ends. Malayo ang relation nito sa wheels mo. They are used for steering and suspensions.

    Ang wheel bearings nasa likod ng brakes at dulo ng diff housings. Ito ang nagpapaikot ng iyong gulong para tumakbo ng tahimik at pulido ang ikot. Kadalasan ito ay napapabayaan at nakakalimutan na lagyan ng grasa kaya nasisira agad.

    Correct! Add ko lang pag repack ng grease, kelangan linisin din yung pinaglagyan nito. Ang lumang grasa ay nagmimistulang putik, malabnaw na ito. Dapat sa grasa yung malapot na parang paste. Madali lang repack yan. Some wheel bearings are cone/cup design. Ang nilalagyan lang ng grasa ay yung cone part na madaling alisin. Yung cup naiiwan sa diff housing (solid diffs) or shafts (IFS).

    Yung kay bogart hindi ni-repack ng dating owner ang bearings.

    Bogart had to replace a Php 5,000.00 hub assembly due to a seized hub.

    Any type of wheel bearing grease will do, for your peace of mind, look for lithium based grease, hi-temp and hi-speed use. Gas service stations use the more common bunker grease or some people call whell bearing grease.

    There's no such thing as water-proofed grease, naalala ko lang may nakita kasi ako dati nito sa Banawe.

    Different brands have different models for specific usage.

    Would like to get more info and clarification. I think all wheels have wheel bearings right?

    Kung sa rear, solid diff. Tatangalin ang break drum, tapos doon madudukot mo na ba? Yung sa front IFS na 4wd, tatangalin pa ba yung manual or auto locking hubs? BTW kung pagawa ko nito, I am thinking isasabay ko na rin ang axle boots. Mayroon pa bang ibang puwede isabay? Para isa na lang ang labor?
