windshield damage

hi guys, I have this very deploring problem of windshield damage, medyo severe siya napaglaruan kasi ng mga tambay na paslit parang hiniwa-hiwa siya ng its either blade a small thin knife probably a small swiss knife. is there still a way to repair this kind of damages? paano at saan dito sa pinas? cost?........one more thing guys a friend of mineoffered to give me a replacement windshield wich came from a junked car wich luckily is the same model as mine.... if he does give me this windsheild, saan ko ba pwede ipakabit ito?at magkano ba ang standard cost ? im now living in Marikina. Guys really hope you can give me some suggestions. thanks!

Try NOVUS at Carsavers Libis.

They were able to repair my severly scratched front side passenger window. The scratch was caused by ... of all things... a grass cutting machine which ate up a stone, and flung it to the air and hit my window.

The repair cost me around 800php.

HAGIBER - I dont think na makikita siya sa picture, actually di siya halata kung hindi mo ilalapit mata mo at kung hindi ka papasok sa loob nung kotse, lalo na pag may dust na nag accumulate na dun sa windshield or when your driving at night ina-absorb nung scratches yung glare nang mga oncoming cars......just imagine this HAGIBER, a bionic steel clawed "kitten" saw his reflection on my windshield and started chasing,fighting and scratching with his reflection all around the glass surface.....:-) ganun! ang itsura harbiger ang nipis pero mukhang malalim di matanggal sa buffing.........an sama nga e' nakaka depressing minsan lalu na may pumapansin na kasakay mo sa kotse.

ESS - try ko i-survey yung sinabi mo"novus carsaver". kung applicable yang sinabi mo sa damage nung glass ko. mukhang yan ang ideal solution. can you elaborate kung paano yung process na ginawa nila?

KICKER - yup kicker, yan una ko option dati, nagpunta ako ng aguila glass diyan sa cubao. actually 3,000php hinihingi nila sa akin intallation fee, tapos mas inere-recomend nila na sa kanila ko kunin yung glass ( ewan ko lang kung meron pa sila nung para sa ride ko na medyo old model na). pag yung supplied glass ko daw ang gagamitin, hindi daw nila sasagutin kung sakaling ma-damage during installation.... after that inquiry at aguila's i presumed more or less ay ganun na din kalakaran on other shops.....so hindi na ako nag try pa mag canvass sa banawe or anyhwere else. until nga nadiscover ko itong tsikot.com. :-) I though maybe i can find a new more practical solution and options here.. :-)

Guys thanks! sa mga suggestion niyo, try ko puntahan yung mga suggestion ninyo in the following days, however im still wait for other suggestions.

ps: teka guys tutal tungkol sa windshield na rin lang topic natin dagdag ko lang , how about yung rubber mark ng wiper sa winshield paano tinatanggal yun?

Try mo sa Manila-Midwest Windhield Repair. #40 Kalayaan Avenue (Northbound) corner V. Luna st. QC. Te'. 435-6391 & 926-6829. Meron din silang brach sa Makati and Cavite.

Dyan ako nagparepair ng Windshield crack ng escape ko about 1 inch in diameter 3 weeks ago. Paid P2,000. It took for about less than an hour, pwede mo iwanan ung car.

Nagrerepair din sila ng mga galos. Ung kasabay ko ganyan ang problema, kalahati ng windshield nya puro malalim na galos. He paid P1,800 I think.. Depende kung gano kalaki ang sira. Pa-estimate ka muna.

They used some kind of specialized glass grinder to buff out the scratches on my window. Okay nama siya. Hindi nagkaroon ng "alon" yung glass ko.

The rubber marks on your windshield are probably minor scratches brought about by wiper wear and tear. Normal lang yon. You can also have it polished out.

nga pala.. meron silang gamit katulad ng sinabi ni ess.. para syang small driller na meron buffer.

By the way... since we're into window repair...

Has anyone here ever tried to have a bullseye/star type of damage to their glass repaired? From what I understand, they'll try to fill the glass cavity with some kind of resin. Does the resin really make the damage invisible? Or would you still be able to see it afterwards?

ung ginagawa nilang repair eh para lang di na lumaki pa ung crack damage sa salamin..lam mo un, parang stopper lang ang gagawin. tapos ung crack eh..hindi na magiging masyadong halata..pero meron pa ring maiiwang marka.

canvas ka na lang muna then check mo yung mga nagaayos kung ok.. sa aguila glass tumingin na ko dati ang mahal pero mukhang ok naman. the thing is may pipirmahan ka sa form nila na kapag nasira nila yung salamin mo d nila kasalanan yun...
