Tsikot bros, I replaced my hatch's rear gas springs/lift support/dampeners (OEM part BHN9-63620A) with a "compatible" one I found in Shopee . The OEM ones are about 630 mm and the replacements are 613 mm. After installing, the hatch is locked in open position, the springs are stiff AF with no play. Trying to close the hatch, the mounting point on the car body begins to flex. If I install only one, it works fine but that's not the point. Seller claims it's just stiff because it's new but forcing it might damage the mounting and the car body. Is Casa the only route now? Is hobo-ism a dying hobby nowadays? Someone hook me up please!

The replacement was actually shorter.... by about 1.3cm or a little over half an inch. I don't think this has anything to do with the stiffness.

OP: That's the risk you take when buying cheap aftermarket parts. Sometimes you win, other times you lose. Return it if you still can, citing incompatibility or the part being faulty, then look elsewhere.

    "genuine fake", in all probability.
hindi naman ganyan ka-mahal kung bibilhin sa physical store sa banawe etc... madali pa palitan kung hindi exacto.

Oh I misread as 603 vs 613mm. I think it reached its over-extended position and locked itself.
