I replaced mine (Civic 2000) on its 82Kth mileage. Bought original timing at Ayala Parts Center for 1250, Replacement Tensioner for 1,800. I have it installed at Auto shop in Alabang west gate. I have noticed smoother ride and noise coming from engine was greatly reduced. At your mileage you need to change/replace all fluids (coolant, brake, powersteering etc). Prioritize your belt and dont wait for sign to replace. Be proactive.
field master is correct. your belt is due for replacement. better spend now till its too late. timing belt is crucial. if it snaps, it can damage the engine.
if I were you, isabay mo na din yung crankshaft oil seal and camshaft oil seal, para isang bukasan na lang, mura lang naman yuni'm nearing 95,000km.

pahabol na rin sa mga civic owners... San ba maganda magpapalit ng tensioner and timing belt plus the replacement of all the fluids...?
Kasi mahal sa honda eh... 11-13 thou eh ang mahal nun ha????
Pa advise naman please... Thanks!

Ayala parts center is at the alabang zapote road, almanza, las pinas. you can locate that at the right side, going to las pinas/zapote, just after toyota alabang and before reaching goodyear/ts cruz subdivision/dbp village. they sell OEM parts for other cars too like mitsus, toyotas, mazdas, nissans, fords, etc....
alabang west gate is in filinvest corporate city. from commerce avenue, turn right before reaching total gas station and going right at the corner where brother's burgers are located. from alabang zapote road from the filinvest/alabang exit, turn left at pricesmart which is in front of nissan alabang. or you can use the entrance where fitness first alabang is located which is left, in front of mazda alabang.
Sir corection lang po. ALABANG PARTS CENTER po yun name ng shop. peace!Originally Posted by happy_gilmore

Im looking for cheaper alternatives if i have it serviced at reliable shops around marcos hiway/sumulong area, looks like yung dalawang shops mentioned: Speedyfix and H3 Autoworks are near...would you have contact/address of these shops?Originally Posted by benchph1
was able to replace my timing belt at CAMEO TBA Center (BF Paranaque) okay ba dun compared to other shops in the area?
napo91,
nakapag palit ka na? anong mga pinalitan at magkano lahat ang gastos mo?
Total Cost (parts and labor) : P7,900.00 ++
This includes:
timing belt
A/C belt
alternator belt
tensioner brng/belt
power steering belt
idler brng
water pump
cam/crank oil seals
utol ko nagbantay, so hopefully nakabit naman lahat ng items.
around 3-4 hours for the belt. kaya naman hintayin pero it might be better to leave it lalo na kung papalit ka din mga fluids, etc. 1 day tho tapus lahat yan assuming you bring the car early![]()
HELP!! i have a 2001 vti-s honda civic with 32,000km. my leak na ang engine oil. pina check ko sa rapide, they said i need to replace the gasket/seal and obligado mag palit daw ng Timing belt and Tensioner...... is that normal? kailangan na bang palitan ang belt and tensioner? or just oil seal lang? thanks
hope you can give some advise.
I think you don't have to change your timing belt yet since only 32T km pa lang.
Did they diagnose where the leak came from? From the oil pan ba, or baka maluwag lang ang drain plug mo kaya tumutulo ang oil. Pag from oil pan - they will just remove this and put another gasket (palinis mo na rin kung may konting sludge pagtinaggal yung oil pan). If from drain plug - all you have to change is the aluiminum washer (o baka kailangan lang higpitan). Either way mura lang to.
May mga mekaniko na palpak: na-oovertighten yung drain plug at na-loosethread pag oil change - kaya tuloy tumutulo.
I hope the leak is not from other parts of the engine.
