Hi guys! Thanks

i read somewhere, that as a safety precaution, the vents are designed so as not to allow one to completely close the passenger cabin from incoming air.
... lest we all die of suffocation (carbon monoxide poisoning).. that engine in front of us is a very potent CO generator..

    Nakita ko sa www.aa1car.com:

If your car has a cabin air filter, noticing outside odors is a symptom that the activated charcoal in the cabin air filter has probably reached the end of its service life. Activated charcoal can absorb odors, but it only lasts about a year or so. Better check your cabin air filter and replace it with a new one if it is more than a couple years old. See your Owner’s Manual for the location of the cabin air filter (it is usually buried behind the glove box or is located in the cowl area at the base of the windshield).

You can just open the window for fresh air or to recirculate cabin air if on a long drive.

yespo.. that may be.. but since when were we a culture of logical, intelligent motorists? we all know just how difficult it can be, to roll down a window.. sometimes, manufacturers have to build something that is , errr..., "idiot-proof".. in CO poisoning, one of the first things to go away, is the ability to think properly, rendering us "idiots"....

some cars have auto-vent feature programmed on the a/c ... external air vent is opened for 30 seconds every 30 minutes

This maybe a reason especially sa mga auto-ac (auto climate control)
