Guys, curious lang ako, ako kasi for 3 months, malaki laki narin nagastos ko sa pagpapagawa ng auto ko. 2nd hand lng kasi. Sakin na yata inabot yung sakit nya. hehe!
Kayo, gano na katagal mga auto nyo sa inyo, kung lalahat lahatin, magkano na nagagastos nyo sa Maintenance at pagpapagawa? Ok parin naman ba kotse nyo hanggang ngayon after ng lahat ng pinagawa? If yes, san kayo usually nagpapa gawa? Or kayo narin gumagawa?

Ako 2nd hand ko din nakuha yung sakin. Ang dami kong pinalitan na major parts. Umabot na ata ako sa 80k for repairs at kung ano ano pa . Ngayon ok na sya, shocks na lang ang medyo ayaw ko kaya yun ang last major part na papagawa ko.

Nagpapagawa ako ng sasakyan ngayon... ang tagal matapos, July 7 ko pinasok sa body repair shop, mga next week ko pa makukuha due to the bagyo's last August. Nagkasakit din ang pintor ko... this is a shop na malapit lang sa min. 35k on body repairs, paint job (Anzhal) and elecrical. upholsterer quoted me 15k on the whole interior dressing (reupholster seats, dashboard, backboard, trunk, carpet, insulation and headliner). Package does not include tint and under chassis which will cost 20k in a ball park figure siguro. Wala pang tsikoteer ang nakakita ng new ride ko after Bibi's accident so abang abang na lang sa post your ride section if you wanna see my ride...

Dati sa 6 yr old 2nd hand Liteace ko, more than 20K ang ginastos ko para lang masigurado ko na hindi ako ititirik. Tapos unti unti ng lumabas ang problema. Palit ako ng reconditioned alternator (2K ang tanda ko), front & rear aircon compressors (11K). Paayos din ako ng leaking power steering hose na walang available parts. After using it for 3 years, binenta ko na dahil sakit na sa ulo.

depende sa sira, pero hinde naman umaabot na more than 10k each repairs....as for accessories I used to spend a lot on this before when I was in HS and college, pero hinde na ngayon sayang lang pera eh....

eto po sa akin last 2weeks lang, alternator, bearing, busing, tune up, spark plug eetc. almost 7k kasama na po yun labor. yesterday radiator naman ang problema, amy tulo, 2.2k ang singil sa akin, what i did is ginamitan ko na lang ng epoxy steel. hopefully mag work... halos broke na broke na po ako. hehehe!!!

ung sa 1964 volks ko. a whopping 100k tapos nag down na ko 50k then 50k ulit when the job is done. more on cuztom kasi kmi. hehe

wow, grabe ang gastos pla ng kotse talaga! hehe! Tama si Nicolodeon, yan din sinabi sakin ng dad ko, para nakong may pinag-aaral pag may kotse ka. Sabi nga, yung gasolina parang baon nya yan araw-araw, yung maintenance parang tuition fee nya, yung ibang pag papagawa parang nag-merienda sya.. hehe! ako din for 3 months, more than 20k narin nagastos ko sa pagpapagawa, at mukhang marami pa akong ipapagawa.. hay.. At guilty din ako sa kakabili ng accesories, noon ko lang na-realize na sayang lang ang money dapat pala inipon ko na lang para sa pagpapagawa. Feeling ko tuloy, kahit single pa ko, para nakong may anak na binubuhay! hehehe!

I can recall from memory all the repairs done on the vehicle after the warranty expired. Here's a breakdown of my expense from 60,000km to the present (97,000km) - almost 3 years and counting.

Front suspension repair (Cruven) - P9,000
2 Alignment (Goodyear) - P1,900
Front shock absorber & tie rod (Speedyfix) - P12,000+

Power steering leak repair plus alignment (Autotechnika) - 12,000+
Rear oil seal leak repair (Autotechnika) - P1,600+

Toyota Air Cleaner (DIY) - P1,100+
Federal Air Cleaner (Speedyfix) - P600

Sparkplug - replaced only after 90K km (Speedyfix/Emperor) - P2,100+

4 Motul Synthetic Oil Package (Speedyfix) - P8,000+

2 ITB Cleaning (Speedyfix) - P1,800

TOTAL = P50,100+ for 37,000 kilometers

P1.35 maintenance for every kilometer driven. Not bad.

P.S. Haven't included here other items like fluid replacement (gear oil, tranny, coolant, etc.).

P.S. My repair cost is around 10% of the vehicle's current fair market value. ;)

total so far is around 60-70K in 4.5 years.
