hello...i just have some questions regarding this...

may masamang effect ba ito, i mean kapag d "perfect: ang pagpapagawa nito mas makakasama pa ba sa engine?

also, how much kaya ito and any recommended shops for this?

    thanks peeps!

yes nakakasama ito instead of nakakabuti kung hindi maganda at tama ang pagkakabalik...but the chance of a faulty repair is lower kung professional ang tatrabaho.

Sa DIY matututo ka pero it would NOT be quick, easy and cheap. I learned it that way so I would not necessarily tell you to open it up and DIY it unless you are willing to LEARN and SPEND some money and time on it.

Before having it overhauled, I usually recommend flushing it out with a carburator cleaner which you can buy sa ACE hardware or even sa auto supply stores. Cost about P150-350 yung isang canister. You can end-up using it all up kung madumi na carb mo. It spray it until it becomes very clean (sa outside ng carb). As for the inside ng carburator, it would be best to run the engine muna until normal operating temperature. Spray the insides of the carb while alternately reving (rev hard!!!) it up to suck up the carb cleaner and fine dirts that clogged your carb jets. Spraying the inside of the carb will choke the vechicle that's why you need to rev it up.

When everything is very clean na, re-position the filter covers again (replace the filters as much a possible to a new one). And spray the linkage pivots and springs with WD40 to oil it a bit (3-in-1 oil is okay rin).

WARNING: During this process of cleaning you shouldn't adjust anything (mga tornillo to open/close jets for fuel and air) from the carb unless you know what you are doing.

After that drive your car around and feel the improvement. Kung tama ang gawa mo and wala kang problem sa carb you would have a great riding feel na ulit. Kung meron pa rin problem then I suggest you go to a professional shop na.

Kamuning street have a lot of carb specialist pero I don't know if this is near to you as well as kung alin dito ang magaling. Labor is about P350-500 and parts needed to be replaced is probably between P300 to P700 (carburator repair kit). Kung magaling ang repair man and your carb is in good shape you might not spend that much sa parts. Jets can cost as cheap as P10/piece and the carb gasket is P20/12 inch square...sobra-sobra na ito sa kailangan.

Pero kung sira na ang mga internal spring ng "mini pump" ng fuel or the variable pin to adjust the fuel flow then yung kit na ang kailangan mo.

    hope this help.

nagpa-overhaul ako ng carb. based from my experience, if ur gonna have the carb dismantled, gumamit ka na ng repair kit. wag yung pa-brush-brush lang ng kerosene tapos walang pinalitan. pinagawa ko dati yun. lalo pa nasira ang carb ko... pumugak ng pumugak. apparently, nasira pa nung gumawa ang plunger. nung pinagawa ko sa kamuning, sabi sa akin palit plunger lang daw kailangan pero naisip ko na kaya nga may repair kit para pag binuksan at napalitan na ang isang parte, dapat lahat na. kaya gumamit na lang ako ng repair kit. cost me 350 pesos plus 300 sa labor. ayos takbo.

my main point is, pag magpapabukas ka ng carb, use a repair it and replace yung parts na kasama naman ng repair kit. saves you the hassle in the long run. also, go to a reputable shop. sa kamuning madami
