My cousin's 2-month old Honda Jazz shakes and emits blue smoke when started up in the morning but disappears after a few minutes of idling. What could be the cause? She's worried.

Brought the car to the casa, the mechanic said its not blue but white smoke which is normal in some brand new cars, told us something about oil getting past the valve stem seals to lubricate the valve train. Told us to come back if the smoke doesn't disappear when the mileage gets past 5000km.

    blue smoke is not good.

white is, kung cold morning yan kasi hot exhaust + cold air = white smoke that'll disappear once the ambient temp goes up.
