Depende yata. Nakitaan ko rin ng cracks yung front tires ko dati, pero I paid more attention to the tread depth. Tsaka sa ilang beses ko dinala yung sasakyan for vulcanizing, hindi naman pinuna ng technician yung lamat.
Just had them replaced yesterday with fresh ones, kasi yung left tire oblong na, nagwi-wiggle. Pinalitan na rin yung right para pantay. I used stock Goodyear GT880s. Cost me 5k+ sa Servitek Antipolo, kasama na yung wheel weights.
dapat palitan mo na yan kaysa masabugan ka pa ng gulong at madisgrasya o makadisgrasya ka pa. dapat din na pareho ang kapal ng thread ng gulong sa harap para hindi magkaroon ng kabig kapag tumatakbo ang tsikot mo.
kadalasang mga dahilan kung bakit nagkakaroon ng crack ang gulong ay hindi tama ang hangin ng gulong; may nasagasaan kang matalim na bagay; o may kalumaan na ang gulong mo. minsan nasa brand din tulad ng hankook na gamit ng mga starex vans.
afaik and imho... cracks are different from bukol so that the following items should be considered:
a. how long were the tires used? baka naman kasi bago, eh walang kwenta yan. pero kung matagal and malutong na, eh di dapat naman talagang palitan yan....
b. location of the crack... kung sa sidewall, medyo delikado... pero kung sa loob, ok lang yan. take bogeyman's opinion.... kung sa loob, check out the tread wear. kung malalim pa tread, it means, makapal pa goma, so that the crack is insignificant. pero kung mababa na tread, any crack like that can affect the performance of the tire.
